I asked this same question over on PS's new forum, but no answers. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I just don't know that much about these new LR attys.
If I use them with the PT, am I risking an untimely POP of the LR 801 atty?
I still have my original, black V1 PS USB PT. I don't use it that much anymore because it doesn't give me the TH I've come to enjoy with my V3 and LR attys. I tried an LR atty on the PT and it gave me a really nice hit. But then I took it off because I don't want to ruin the atty - I don't have a lot of spares right now.
I have my PT plugged into one of those powered USB hubs (USB 1.1). I don't plug it into my computer. It has 4 USB outlets and I just use one for the PT, the other 3 remain empty. There isn't any mention of volts or watts or amps (any of that electrical stuff) indicated on the unit.
I may be wrong, but I think powered USB hubs provide about 5V. Is that too much for a LR atty?
Thanks for any advice you can provide.
