PT Power supply options?

I know this might be more of mod-forums thing, but I wanted feedback from PT users from Puresmoker. Besides those guys get way too technical, and I'm not interested in risking my life.. or my PT.

I was curious if there are any alternative power sources that can be used for a PT without plugging your face directly into a power outlet.

I have a bunch of spare motherboards and power supplies and was going to build a little barebones semi-portable mini 'puter for my PT... It is a lot of work, and was wanting to rule out something simpler before I start torturing myself.

I feel safe on a computer as I know the MoBo regulates the power supply, and some of those mods they are using over there basically have them plugging a USB charger to a wall.. not sure thats such an awesome idea.

Anyone know of anything that is considered standard practice as an alternative to a computer?

I was mostly worried about amperages... not sure if they make a difference on the PT's or not. Not sure I've got it in me right now to undertake a whole modding project.

I have an iPhone as well... how long have you been doing that?

I also saw a few barebones PCs that are super tiny for only a couple hundred bucks, If I could find a small itty bitty monitor, I'd have a DvD player/Stero/PT power supply. Might be fun for hangin out in the backyard.... maybe a mini beer cooler.

I've been using one off and on for a bit over 3 months with generic PT's with no issues.

I have tried on several iphone and ipod adapters, and I get absolutely nothing. I do get a little vapor from a Palm Pre usb/ac adapter...but minimal. There just isn't enough amperage, and if you are getting any from an iphone adapter it can't be an ideal setup.

At under $2 a piece, every outlet in every situationally occupied room in my house has one of these in it. I just walk around with my passthrough when I'm home, plug in, and vape. Seriously, I've tried close to 20 different adapters and configurations, most a good deal more costly, and to no avail. The guy that sells these, Stephen, is a really good guy. He's based in Texas, ships immediately, and only charges a buck to ship each additional adapter.

If I'm wrong about this thing, come find me! But trust me, it's what you want and exactly what you need!

The new i-phone plug is 5v 1amp. My older iphone from my 1st gen iphone apt will not work.
