Can you soak attys in alcohol for a long time?

Is there a time limit to how long you can soak them in Isopropyl alcohol? The three I'm soaking are either non functioning or barely functioning so I thought I would soak them a long time?

I don't know about the innards, but I've had the paint get soft on my 510s if I leave them in for a week. Can't say much more, because they were already underperforming at that point anyway.

I do not know the answer to your question. I use Pure Grain Alcohol and with just a tablespoon or two, can run it through 4-5 times and the atomizer is more than good to go. If the atomizer isn't back to life in just a few run throughs, it isn't coming back-IMO.
Give it a shot and let us know how it works out.

I dunno. I keep a container of Isopropyl that I just toss my cartos and atties into as I go through them. Then after maybe a week I'll throw them in my ultrasonic cleaner for a thorough rinse/crud breakup. So far I haven't had any issues (except for the ultrasonic breaking up some of the atomizer paint...but I don't care what my atomizer hardware looks like.

Once, I forgot about one I left in 90% ISO for 20 mins, and when I took the atty, all the paint came off in little pieces, so I trashed it. What I usually do, is just put them in the ISO for 3-4 mins, run the alcohol through the atty a few times, then roll it over a papertowel, tap it a couple times, then just let it dry overnight. I have had great success with this method. It gets all the gunk out, and I haven't lost an atty since. Good luck!

I soak mine overnight or throughout the day and let 'em dry overnight. To me this keeps them in great shape but I've only been vaping for a few months. Can't tell ya anything about longevity, but it's like a new atty every day. To me that's worth it.

I just run rubbing alcohol through it 4-5 times, rinse 4-5 times blow out add 4-5 drop juice, lightly blow out and add 2 more drops and vape. I never dry it and been on same atty for 6 weeks, so far so good.

Don't know about leaving it for a week or so, but I have left mine in for several hours. Then run the same alcohol through it until it runs freely, blow out (I use canned air), then let dry overnight. Works great on attys, cartomizers, well, I have limited success with these. Works maybe a time or two.....then the pull gets so hard it is not even worth it.

I've never used Isopropyl alcohol. Generally, I use either Grain alcohol or Vodka to soak and had only one problem when I forgot I had an atty soaking. After about a week, the "innards" had fallen out. Fortunately, it was an old atty!

I'm not sure about this either. I just started using CrestProWhite and it seems to clean them very well and quick too. I don;t know if this is safe for the attys though?? I can't seem to find enough info on here about that

You can soak in alcohol for as long as you want. The paint will break down which is actually a good thing, if it wasn't breakng compunds down there would be no reason to do it. When the paint starts to peel I just flick the rest off with my fingernail and I've got a shiny silver atty.

alcohol corrodes metal...you should be dipping and then pouring the alcohol in and out till the stream gets more consistent.

After reading this thread and a few others I decided it was time to try. I have 99% ISO here in work. I poured some into a electrical tape canister(plastic container) and let my atty sit in there over my lunch break. I came back and blew it out with regulated compressed air about (50 psi). Results......... Works like new!! My screwdriver was barely giving any vape. i knew the atty had to be gooked up. using FSUSA s 50/50 juice I guess loads em up pretty quick since its thick. I will continue to do tyhis every other day. Thanks guys!!!
