Water or very weak saline are better, but you can thin VG with very small amounts of alcohol.

In my experience, it is better to do this in the tank (rather than in the bottle). No more than 10%. Vodka works well, don't know about whiskey. (You won't get much whiskey flavor in any case!)

If you do decide to try it, do it immediately before vaping (in the tank, not the bottle, as I said above). The longer it sits, the worse it will taste. Just my experience.

Why yes you can Marty.

My daily or as I think of it my maintenance vape, is 100% unflavored VG that I dilute 12 or 13% with vodka.
I don't taste alcohol at all and it does give a very slight bit of throat hit to it.

The most recent batch I made up I used Makers Mark. Meh.
I can taste the bourbon, albeit slightly, but it tastes like very watered down bourbon. I'll be stickin' with the vodka in the future.

ETA: I make up batches of 18ml at a time, this will last me about a week and a half. I've yet to have it taste bad, either just after mixing it up or days later.

Whenever I use water to thin the VG the resultant vape tastes..... watery.
You can vape yer vodka and drink it too!!
