Can you use the sx-350 j chip with a dual battery configuration?

I really like the looks of the yihi sx mini m class but only having one battery kind of turns me off of it even though my current device only uses one battery. My question is does the sx350 j chip supprt a dual 18650 configuration if I was to build my own box mod or is it too much voltage input for the chip?

My understanding is that it would work with a dual configuration in parallel, but not series. Am I correct?

Yes parallel will work, it will be 4.2v and you'll have a lot more power to work with. The load will be split between the two. Your battery life should be 3 times longer than a single 18650. ( possibly reaching close to 4 times longer)
Series/stacked would be 8.4v

The more normal way to run a SX350J with dual battery would be in series. That is how they are designed to be used in dual battery configuration. You'll also get 120W max instead of 60W. Check out the spec sheet: temp control chip SX350J

I heard rumors that the 350j chip in the m80 didn't step down below bat voltage. This would make me think it does step down with series batteries... Also heard temp control had issues Make want to check it out.

M80 doesn't use the SX350J.

As I understand, you can go with 18650s in parallel and do temperature control. If you go with 18650s in series then it will be a 120W mod w/o temperature control (based upon the specs).

Have you been able to find a datasheet with measurements for this board? I'm trying to design a faceplate for one of my printable modular mods and I've yet to find one. I might just try contacting YiHi directly.

Here is what YiHi sent me last night. It's not as detailed as an Evolv datasheet sadly and It is missing a few important measurement. At least it helps me get started until my SX350J board arrives and I can take measurements off of it.

Unless you can detach the screen, I'll guarantee you it will not fit in the flask. I retro fit a DNA chip into a flask, the cradle inside is designed for the dna board only (or clones of it)

People are reporting that temp control does work with the batteries in series but the joules setting is still limited to 50j.
