I really depends on how it is shipped. If it come through the mail your are subject to taxes and duties. I thinks it's $10 from Canada Post plus you provincial taxes. You may or may not be charged. It is random.

If it is shipped ups or fedex you WILL be charged brokerages fees, taxes, fees and more fees. You may ends up paying the courier more that you paid to buy it in the first place.

Every Time I have costed it out the price difference was not worth the hassle. If you are getting nic. If they find it they will seize it.

I'm sure someone has done it how does it work for customs , money exchange and everything I found what I think is a sweet deal and I'd like to get it but just want to compare price like the final prices including customs and money exchange could someone inform me please

Is the deal still sweet when you factor in the shipping costs?

What cornflakes says is true, especially for courier shipments.

High shipping + exchange rate = not so sweet a deal after all.

IMO if you want the best Price/Deal, it's From fastech! I'm in Ontario, if I use E-Packet shipping from FT, usually only a few dollars more. My package is here in about 2 weeks. Any thing I order from the US takes that long any way. Some of the other shipping options from FT can take weeks, even months, so if E-Packet isn't an option be warned! If you hunt a round their customer forum there is all way some kind of discount code, 10 to 15% usually. They have good product descriptions & pictures to. My packages are all ways sent as "gifts" so no duties. Only real draw back is returns, that can be a bit of a hassle.

Canvape is one of the best options from here in Canada, only thing is the "HST" & the shipping. I'm not that far from them so I can choose the "10$" & it's here in 3 days.

Do you specify to send as gifts? Over 50 orders and never ordered anything from them over 20$...

Got dinged with charges from gearbest though :X

All my chinese package have come through customs with no charges. At least 50, multiple vendors. I keep my values low and don't order hundreds in one package.

I like to keep my FT orders below $20.

What was the shipping method with GB?

No they just do it on their own, over the years now I have made many orders from FT.
Ranging in price from 10 to over 100$$ never an issue with import tax's.
The E-Packet shipping is Key! Singpost or any other method, is a No Go!

If you read around the forum GB has a really poor reputation :(

I try to keep my orders under $50 but have ordered a few in the $90 range. Have never been charged duty.

In the last 10 to 15 years I have literally ordered hundreds and hundreds of things from out of the country and in all that time I only got dinged once for duties and taxes from Canada Post. And that was a $50 item I bought out of the US (and it was also a long time ago now, maybe around 10 years).

Now if you use FedEx, UPS or DHL.... that's another story. Guaranteed import duties and taxes (although I've heard it said that may not be the case with DHL anymore).

Gear Best = Gear Worst
Actually, I've ordered twice from Gear Best and both shipments came quickly. I have no complaints.

Other than import duties (ordered a android TV box) never any issues...

I used DHL and Standard other times dinged on both...

I was using a old laptop for Kodi on my TV, laptop started dying so I needed something quick, for some reason shipping via DHL Express was 5$ so I picked that knowing there would be charges on that one...
