last week i posted about questions on a lava tube and ended up ordering the ssvtube from apolloecigs.com. thinking about it for a few days made me come up with the decision to bite the bullet and spend the extra money on the provari. what i am here to ask is does anybody have any suggestions on the satin or the chrome one. how good are the finishes and could i see some pictures of both.

there is a thread only for the Provari under Variable Voltage mods Discussion sub-forum. the color does not effect the functionality of the pv, however, if you chose the basic which is the silver, you will be saving around $40.00. just heads up, it takes up to 2 weeks to be received, I ordered mine on the 27th and it is still under process.

I think your making a wise decision and will be much happier. Although the provari is more money you are definitely getting your moneys worth for sure. I have the satin finish v1 and have abused the living crap out of it. I work in construction and bring it to work everyday, I have dropped it a million times on concrete and the thing still looks brand new. The chrome is nice but feel that it will show more imperfections, just my feeling but do not know from personal experience, but the satin looks great and shows less which I can attest to. I think which ever finish you decide you will be equally happy with.
yes i am just wondering about if the chrome will show scratches more. i work at a parts store so it will probably be in my pocket most of the time but it will be getting banged around a lot. spending more for the chrome is okay. i think i am going to opt for the extender with the 18650 battery also.
and also does anyone know of any cases that would hold a couple tanks, provari, and an extra battery?
Iv got a case for cigars that will hold two provaris. They make a four cigar case that will allow more room for storage
I think if your going to keep it in your pocket and getting banged around alot then I would go with the satin finish. I think you will be happier in the long run cause it will hold much better. I have the SVR which is a chrome type finish and no matter how hard I tried to keep it "like new" small scratches did appear. One thing you might want to consider is getting the extender cap in chrome if you go with the satin finish, I have heard of people doing that so the top and bottom match. And your getting a little bit of both finishes in one unit which you cant go wrong with!!
I just ordered that same lava tube and now your making me think. My plan is to try it and if I even use the VV and I am sure I will I am gettin the provari next and will maybe gift the lava tube but now the wheels r a turnin.

My recommendation with be the Satin Provari v2 + 18650 Extender Cap + 2 AW IMR 18650 Batteries + Pila Charger + Boge 3.0 Cartomizers (for your daily vape) + HH.357 3.0 Ohm 510 atomizer (for trying new flavors)
A tank (J-Tank, M1A1, Big Daddy,etc) and a carto punch tool (COV makes a really good tool for $40) would also make you happy.
Seriously, you'll love this setup.
What's more, if you don't love it, you can sell most of this stuff for close to what you paid for it on the classifieds.

@Dana...my head was completely involved in trying to decide from the moment i ordered the vtube...i just decided because of this aspect..i realized i was going to spend 100 dollars on the vtube and might not be happy by it...i have read and watched many reviews of the provari and still couldn't decide then i stumbled across pbusardo on youtube. watch both the lava tube and the provari v2 review...he will make your decision for you
The Pila is a intelligent charger, meaning it should not overcharge your batteries. Overcharing a IMR battery will reduce battery life and possibly cause gasses to vent from the battery. Proper charging is critical for IMR batteries, as well as making sure you don't over discharge them (Provari cuts them off at about 3.3/3.4v). I use a Xtar WP2 II charger I got on ebay for $16 - reviews are just as good as the Pila, at less than 1/2 the cost of the Pila chargers.
