The first version of the VTR was having the ohm issue. The revision does not I have read. I had one bad one, and 2 good. I like it a lot. The VTR and my ProVari both get daily use.

Congrats on the Provari, it is a reliable rugged regulated tube mod. Don't really know why people say it is expensive. Compared to the other high end regulated and mechanical tube mods the Provari is on the lower end of the scale. Semovar mod $215, Futura $229, Wizards Apprentice $325, CyBorg $249, Nemesis $185, Stingray $205, Provari $159. Just saying.
