But lately I've had some coworkers tell me that Vaping causes cancer just as much as cigarettes if not more.

Also factor in, besides the disinformation they are buying into, that if they are smokers they might have to justify their continued smoking by feeling better about their habit over yours.

I know about all the propaganda about vaping. But that moment with my coworker made me realize that I didn't have much of an argument for vaping and against cigarettes other than the 4,000 chemicals in cigarettes verse the 5 in vaping.

Which would be self inflicted lack of knowledge.

A few minutes spent learning more about what it is you are involved in rather than discussing favorite Flavors or devices would actually help with both those topics and more.

Your friends might be right... If we were SMOKING or If you only consider the E-Cigarettes that the Cigarette Companies sell, like Vuse. If the conspiracy theories are correct . I'm sure PM is adding the same Addict You, stuff, to their juices as they use in the cigarette. Why wouldn't they, those additives very well might cause cancer.
But the smoke from burned plant matter and additive chemicals is the main cause of cancer in cigarette. I know what chemicals are my Vape juice. So far they haven't been shown to cause cancer when vaporized or inhaled. When SMOKED, some of them, sure. I do vape mostly NET juices, after all.

SMOKE of almost any kind from almost any source can and likely does cause cancer. Except for the occasional dry hit, which can be avoided. There is NO SMOKE from Vaping.

This is my standard response to any regurgitation of the latest mass media scaremongering stories about the "dangers" of vaping ...

NAME THE PERSON OR PERSONS AFFECTED ?

I learned the Five Ws in journalism classes over 40 years ago. When did they stop teaching this basic principle necessary to compose a responsible article ?

• Who did that?
• What happened?
• Where did it take place?
• When did it take place?
• Why did that happen?

@ducaduca She may have felt a little insecure and you gave her a break, so nothing wrong there. E-liquid ingredients are not a mystery. We all know VG and PG are both FDA approved and is regularly used in food and drinks. As for the chemicals in a cigarette... I think we made the right move.
