Cannot get screws loosened on the Kayfun Lite!

I am soooooo aggravated at this moment! I received 2 kayfun Lite rba's. One on Friday and one on Saturday (today) and I am having the worse time getting the little screws loosened so as to even begin a build! What is up with this. I think I stripped one, sigh. I hate wasted money but that's how I'm feeling about these two devices. I never had this problem with the kayfun 3.1.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it?

I know one is an EPHRO, still trying to get the screw loose, the other one I have no idea what clone it is but I did finally manage to get them loose but am now having normal wicking problems with it that I can fix .

You don't need to loosen any screws. Are you talking about the 3 on the bottom? You don't need to unscrew those to wire it.

Edit: Oh the screw on the posts you mean. Try running it under hot water.

First thing I would try is soaking in hot water. Then maybe some cold water. Or torch and then cold water. The whole expansion contraction thing. Sorry you are having clone issues. If you can return it might be easier. I don't have that clone so someone else may have better advice.

LoL, no. I'm talking about the screws used to hold the coil in place.

Oh I had the same problem with the first rda I got. You can run in under hot water and tap on the screw with a screwdriver. That worked for me. If that doesn't work then maybe hold the screwdriver in really tight and twist the handle of it with pliers for more leverage. If that doesn't work... wd-40 or some other penetrating oil. You don't want to vape that stuff though so clean it good if you do that.

I'd replace the screws with better ones when you get it out. Those screws are usually pretty soft I think, made from cheap metal and too easy to strip them. Any decent hardware store should have some that fit right.

I'm returning it. Nothing is helping with this one screw and I stabbed myself twice. I'm done. Notified the seller to let them know about the screws and how they won't come loose. Hopefully I can get this resolved. Thanks everyone.

I've had this happen a couple times on a new KFL clone, but firm pressure with a steady twist using a good screwdriver has always prevailed.

Have you tried grabbing the edges of the screw with a needle nose pliers maybe?

I did do this and it just won't grab the tiny screw.

Remove Screws - Replace with:

25 Piece M1 6 0 35 x 3mm thru 10mm Stainless Socket Head Cap Screw Bolt | eBay

Problem solved

Has to be your luck. I've purchased 7 and had one screw that bottomed to soon. Replaced with an M1.6x3mm instead of the 4mm and never looked back.

you get what you pay for. having said that,try buying quality tools. your dollar store screwdrivers can't and wont cut it.

Only other thing that comes to mind is to put the heat to it. Do you have a butane micro torch?

Disassemble the base so as not to damage the insulators, and if it's on the positive block, perhaps hold it with light pressure in a small vice grip.

Heat the part, not the screw. I can't imagine it would take much.

Using a quality needle nose I did finally manage to get a grip on that little bitty screw. It took several times but it finally gave in and I immediately replaced it so I'm happy . I am now vaping on my two new Kayfun Lite's. Thanks for all the advice everyone it helped alot!

Ps. It's a good thing I did manage to dislodge that screw cuz' I never heard back from the seller .

I think I am up to 8 Kayfuns I've purchased and never had an issue using a good screwdriver. If they don't come loose easily make sure you have them on a base or mod so it doesn't rock as you try to loosen it... Or you stab yourself... Which I think you might have learned already.

When you say a good screwdriver might ask what brand? My dad was a mechanic and he kept good tools at all times, wouldn't let us touch em . I use Cobalt, Black & Decker, Snap-on, whatever is available at the moment.
