I have Evic, Vamo, and an Itaste VV for my VV batts. And in order id say Evic, Itaste, Vamo. I am a huge fan of the Evic, made of aluminum so its super lightweight (crazy light with an ego upgrade 18350 tube and evod!), provides a nice smooth vape, and has tons of options as far as how your vape is delivered. I like to mess with mine and have it fire at 8W when i press the button so it gets going quick, and backs off to 6.4W so i can take a big long drag and not worry about burning my wick. What other mod does that? If youre looking to be dirt cheap though, the Itaste VV (and the MVP for immense battery life) is lightweight as well and provides plenty of power and a great vape.

I'm a Sigelei Zmax fan. (Not Smoktech!)

I have had a Sigelei Zmax for about 2 weeks and I absolutely love it!!! I found mine for around the same price as the Vamo and it also has the 510/EGo connections as well, so all of my clearomizers and tanks will fit it, plus the menu is super easy to navigate.

If you're interested in the Provari due to its tough body, check out a Totally Wicked Vape-Pro. Zmax insides to my understanding but a MUCH tougher body which is solid molded steel, and they have a UK site that ships to Canada. Wait for a YoYo sale on it or utilize their daily discounts in the forums/FB page/Twitter and you can get a discount to make up for the shipping costs, as well.

If you're interested in the advanced functionality more, the Evic is a definite step up from the Provari even. Just need to keep in mind it's not as tough as a Provari and treat it accordingly. DEFINITELY invest an a lanyard for APVs like the Zmax lanyards that are floating around on the internet... it will SERIOUSLY reduce the likelihood of damage from both drops and storage (when it's around your neck you are not tempted to put it in your pocket or purse).

Sigelei flat top Tele V3. Pretty solid build and a good vape for the price. I think I paid $50 or so for it. Had it for about a month as my "beater" mod so my Provari can stay safe at home. I'm quite pleased with it.
Dropped it in about a foot of water while fishing. Removed the battery as quickly as possible and shook the water out of it. There was water behind the screen. Dried it out over night and its been working like new ever since. Probably just lucky. But, this device gets an A in my book.

I have a SVD and for the Fasttech price you can't beat it. Built like a tank and vapes liek a beast.
The Sigelei ZMax v3 (the v5+ is up on their site now ZMAX V5+_ZMAX V5_SIGELEI Electronic Cigarette - )would probably be a good budget friendly choice as well.
The SID has questionable build quality from a number of reputable YouTubers but seems to function well.
The new Innokin Itaste VV 3.0 is a real bargain, but definitely not as sturdy as a SS tube mod.
The eVic looks ok though I don't know anyone who has one personally.

Well, if you can't get a provari because of your location, then I would throw my vote with some of the other posters and get the SVD. It would be an excellent replacement for a vamo and the price is reasonable. FASTTECH says they have worldwide shipping. Might be worth considering...

$37.21 INNOKIN iTaste SVD Telescoping Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette Battery Compartment at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Showing as ships next day too.
Can't go wrong with the SVD
I sold my ProVari and Vamo as I was not using them from the moment I got my SVD.

i tried alot of innokin products from itastes to their tanks they all broke within 3-6 months... I referred the itaste to several people at the time they were working great and they all broke for them lol. I mean every single product from innokin broke. I bought the clear 30 tank the taste was magnificent until the tank spidered and cracked 2 days later. i will never touch another innokin product again. anyway

if you want a long lasting built strong mod the only mod other than the provari is the zmax... I do however like volcanoes lavatube just too big... also the vamo is kool just too big(the width its like a quarter stick in ur pocket.... zmax is by far one of the most rugged units out there.. I got mine and my wife got hers at mad vapes... I dropped mine about 50 to 100 times on concrete to down the stairs it still works like it did out the box. zmax is my favorite unit not too big where u feel like ur holding something so bulky like a lavatube or vamo. and the vape power is second to none... looks sleek as well. if ur gonna get a zmax id buy from madvapes products always are very genuine. ive had my zmax since it came out with not a single problem and same with my wife. my brother has a vamo he recently bought had some problems here and there but it's a cheap well built mod but he said hes buying a zmax now since I let him borrow mine for a couple hours. I'm not talking about the cheap seigal zmax either. the original zmax.
