Well I have done it. One year ago I smoked my last cigarette! If you would have asked me at the beginning of 2010 about when I would quit smoking, I would have had no clue. The amazing E-Cig I tried a year ago worked for me and I never looked back!

In addition, I quit vaping in July. It was an accident and I am copying a post I posted back in July.

To everyone on this forum...You CAN do it!! I smoked for over 20 years and had given up quitting. The e-cig is amazing and a lifesaver!!

Following is my post from July 2010 outling how I quit vaping as well. Good luck everyone!!

My story begins as many of yours. Back in January, on a whim I got a free trial offer of e-cigs off the net not knowing if they would work or not. But I wanted to give it a try. I could not believe that it did indeed work and after 21 years of smoking I could go day after day without a cigarette. I also found this forum which has been a tremendous help and guide.

Here is where it gets interesting. I have two Tornado batteries and one Hello 016 battery that are in the rotation. Two weeks ago my new Hello 016 battery failed. I was in the process of getting a warranty replacement when one of the Tornado batteries failed. That same night my other Tornado battery failed. The light button actually pushed in to the battery housing. So, now I am starting to panic, but i have some older 401 batteries that had been retired.

After a restless night, I decided to see how long I could go without pulling out the 401's. I couldn't believe it! I had no withdrawl whatsoever over the next 12, 24, or 48 hours. I now have not vaped in 2 weeks. I guess I am done with smoking and vaping. (I'm a little disappointed about the vaping part cause I really enjoyed it.) I was looking forward to posting my one-year no smoking anniversary in January, but still be vaping. (I still will post the anniversary). Had all my batteries not failed I would still be vaping.

I had gradually reduced the nic to 12mg and also used a pg doubler sometimes. So I guess that over a 6 month period I had weened myself off of nicotine without even knowing it.

I have really enjoyed this forum and will still keep up with it.

I will be posting this weekend in the classifieds so keep checking. That Hello 016 I had replaced has never been used. In addition I have 11 brand new 510 LR atty's.

Don't doubt the efficacy of the e-cig as a quit smoking device.

Vape on my friends!

David
