I have spent a lot of dough at LF over the past 2 weeks and I have been happy with everything but my last shipment. I bought these "clearomizers". One was 1.2ml and I also got the bigger one that lights up. I filled the smaller one about 80% and waited for it to soak in. Tilted it and so forth and waited because I didn't want to ruin it. I take the first hit and get nothing but burnt nastiness. Wait another half hour, take a hit and it's a little better. Sat it down and came back a while later and it's burnt again. These things obviously do not wick very well. So it's basically ruined and I go back to the website to see if I did something wrong or to try and get more info. No reviews. No tips. No refunds. So basically I am out the cash for these gimmicky things. In theory they should work but they don't. Live and learn.

Well, being kind of a CE2/Top Coil Clearo devotee, it sounds to me like the silicone seal around the atomizer cup is squeezing the wicks too tight, and that's preventing it from wicking proper. I have not tried the LF clearos yet (510 connection, I use 901/808 batts), but maybe there is a way to pop and reseat that seal safely to see if you can make it stop strangling the wicks.

Trust me, when these kind of clearos work, it's the next best thing to direct dripping. When they don't, however, fiddling is unfortunately required.

Thanks. That's pretty much the story with this type of carto. All the ones I've used, have thankfully worked great out of the package. I followed much of the CE-2 hype in the early days, and was familiar with any issues, so refilling these, and re-seating the cup-seal was a no brainer -for me. Though.. I never could get a ce2 to wick right :p

if you dont have any luck, let me know, and we can probably send you a replacement. After all, if it is faulty, no amount of fiddling would be able to fix it.

oh man i looove the clearomizers. I take out all of the plastic pieces (3) and dont ever put em back in. I then fluff the wicks up on either side. Then i pour the juice so it just slides down the sides until its full. You have to make sure there is some juice on top of the ceramic part because it needs to be wet too. After i fill it, i kinda tip it upside down for a sec, swirl it around a little so the juice can get all up and in there really good. And then? perfection!

If you take care of them, doing the ocassional washing, dry burning and what not, these kind of cartos should last you at least one month. Their durability is pretty much like a regular atty.

I have a similar one that has been in use for a bit over two months. Performance has decreased, of course, and the wicks are starting to fray at the cup a lil bit, but still vapes quite well.

Burnt taste problems can be fixed by barely lifting the inner cup seal.

I just want to expand a bit on that last statement from Tom950.

Usually, the mistake vapers make when first using these kinda cartos is assuming the silicone seals have to be packed in there tightly to ensure no leaks happen. An understandable reaction given how other atties and cartos work, but in reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

I don't use the clearos LF sells, but on my own top-coil CE2's, what I do is just gently slide the seals back into the tube, making sure the dents in the inner seal line up with the wicks. Then, I just push them into place with my drip tip. That makes the seals sit just right on the atty cup every single time - not too loose, not too tight.

No burnt taste for me. :D

Exactly! thanks Hiryu!

Well I think it's defective because the 2.5ml works VERY well. This is very nice. Too bad they are so expensive. Any idea how long these last?

I get a couple weeks easy.... im sure i could do better, but i'm always trying new things these days, and usually end up setting them down somewhere, and dont always pick them back up again. I've probably got like 20ml lying around in cartos and cartridges, not being used. On some of the smaller clearos, I noticed the tube would come loose after a little over a week. A dab of superglue does the trick. I've never had to glue them a second time. Minor trade-off, for how enjoyable these things are.
