Can't detach Top Cap from Kick Ring Nemesis Clone...Please Help!

Has anyone had this issue?

This is right out of the box and the top cap will not detach from the Kick ring. It's from fasttech. Copper version.

I am highly disappointed with my first FT order and will never shop there again, but if like to get this thing working. Seems like it's screwed on impossibly tight.

Not a big deal at all.
Keep rubber globes around if you like mechs.

Nevermind, hit the crap out of it with a hammer and it easily screwed off.

Thanks for the tip. I have plenty of those around....should have considered before I broke out the sledge hammer.

That's kind've what you expect from FT. quality control is lacking and it's hit or miss. You also saved a lot of money. If you bought 2, you would still be saving money. Hard to fault FT for this.

rubber kitchen gloves would work well. You could use a strap wrench or make your own jimmy-rigged strap wrench with just a usb cable or some other cable you have around the house. Put some bar soap on the threads when you end up getting them off to make them smoother.

This happens often with many Nemmy clones, and yea, even the real thing.
Has nothing to do with Fast tech.
Fast tech doesn't manufacture anything.
They sell about 9 Nemmy clones from at least 5 separate manufacturers.

This issue is a very common one due to expanding/contracting metals from the temps and pressures associated with air shipping.
Threaded parts sometimes get stuck.
Nothing to do with quality control and no need to bash fast tech for a metal tube obeying the laws of thermodynamics.

Copper and Brass are know to stick when left sitting awhile. It also happens with some stainless but takes longer. Copper is extremely bad about it though.
