I realize no juice can produce a true cig flavor but I just can't get anything to give a hint of cigarette taste. I have the TA Blend and M-Type Premium from Wizard Labs and also FA Ry4 and FA Dekang. The only thing vapable is the Dekang after steeping for 1 1/2 weeks and then I have to put a drop or two of clear coffee in it to get rid of the chemical taste. I'm mainly usin a 5% with a 75/25 pg vg mix and 12mg nic in all my juices. I'm new to vapin (about 2 1/2 weeks) and been tryin to diy since the vape shop guy I bought my pens from mixes his own to order in a dirty lookin store. He didn't seem to know much, so I checked out the internet and ended up here at this SUPER site. Can anyone give me a recipe usin what I have, or suggest something?

the coffee flavor is really strong so just use a tad, then a smidgen of apple flavor, that got me something that tasted like a camel straight, didn't mean to get a cigarette flavor, was going for something different, so didn't save the recipe. was a accident, lol, don't seem to like cig flavor juice now.

Welcome to ECF. I have heard that Legend from Heathersheavenlyvapes tastes a lot like a real cig, but I have not tried it yet.
I got some juice called fire cured that I like a lot. Tastes a bit like tobacco.
Right now I'm trying some Dark Horse from Heathers that tastes a bit like pipe tobacco.
I'm still looking myself for that juice that hits me just right.

Thanks Peepaw. I've got some Highway 101 from Lizard Juice and a couple of custom blends from a local vape shop that are pretty good but I wanna mix my own. Anything that would taste remotely like a cig without a chemical taste would work for me. I'm just skeptical about orderin any more flavors at this point.

I've never gotten a good tobacco flavor from a B&M vendor... most have been down right nasty. The best I've had is USA Mix from Moutain Vapor. Its my ADV. I will add, though, that if you've only taste tobacco burning, you don't know what tobacco tastes like. Maybe chew tastes like it but I've never tried that. Anyway, I'm so glad I learned what it actually tastes like by vaping it. Its delicious... but, I don't care much for the flavored ones like RY4... cararmel, vanilla, sweet, etc... might as well not vape tobacco as it usually is overwhelmed by those other flavorings.

Thanks for your response. As far as I can tell Mountain Vapor only sells premixed juice. I'd really like a diy recipe.

    No you can't
Have you smoked menthols flavor could be one reason if your not use it now.

I DIY & get my stuff Wizard Labs also I found that a drop or two of Tobacco Absolute helps and I switched from RY4 to Double RY4 that only helped also a little caramel candy.

Have you tried to up the nicotine level a little.

If you fix a batch and like it and the flavor changed on you add a drop of vinegar per 5ml will bring flavor back.

These are only my personal ideas and tricks I do because I have found my juice to change flavor also.

I got the taste of vaping using pre mixes there a place for it and if someone only want that great but I couldn't find one that compare to NEWPORTS took about 1 1/2 and I started DIY I love it I'm in control of my juice's I can add nicotine or PG/VG even more flavor when every I want also far less expensive and I always have juice never running out.

I found out for me when flavor not right add more menthol works 90% of the time I'm hooked on menthol.

What calculator your using for mixing?

I use juicemeup its free and works super good and has a tool area for nicotine and pg/vg

Keep in mind you went from smoking with 18mg - 21mg to down to 12mg nicotine find out what nicotine was in your cigs and use that amount or little more to start with.

I'll bet you that your problem trying to overcome the nicotine to soon.

Don't try to get away from the nicotine yet you have a hunger for it that will take time down the road. You already are not allowing 1000's of BAD chemicals in to your body give yourself a pat on the back.

IMO, I haven't found a DIY that is even close to an analog. I gave up on it.
I have found that unflavored nic is as close to real cig as anything.

If you are interested, Parkes Vaping has about the biggest selection of tobacco juice. They have reviews on many of them.
I got quite a few samples from them & a couple are pretty close to a real burning cig. They are: Ashtray [sounds lovely don't it?] & Wyatt Earp & Dark Vapor [or something like that, cant remember]. I cant stand the sweet, perfumy & too many flavors type liquids & Parkes Vaping has been the best I have found so far. I actually mix about a 50/50 with their juice & unflavored. That way it's sorta a DIY & stretches out their liquid.
Those are a few that are pretty close. Nice thing is they offer sample packs & their juice is reasonably priced.
    Just an idea.
I vape the unflavored for my cig fix. Also, Boba's Bounty gives me a lot of tobacco flavor. Most don't seem to taste it that way. Look around ECF for it & see what you think. YMMV.

Good luck with this, it's a difficult road.

I can't help you with a recipe. But maybe you should experiment with different pg/vg mix or nicotine level. I started with 18mg juices and they give me that bite that I wanted. Also there are some other threads around about finding a true tobacco flavor. Maybe you can find something that suits you.

Thanks, I have been checkin out the other threads but I would like to know if the flavors I have can be made to taste like they claim.

I'm going to really confuse things.

I use unflavored at a 60/40 7.5mg mixture. Sometimes I add a few drops (3%) of PGA. That, at least too me, most replicates smoking.

My wife uses Dragons Fire from HHV. That is her tobacco choice.

Thanks, I might just try my unflavored nic mix

Why do I need a calculator? I cut my 48mg nic to 12 and made 75/25 mix. All I do is add flavor to that. .5 flavor to 9.5 mix basically gives me a 5% flavor while just diluting the mix a bit. I quit smoking 3 weeks ago. Haven't smoked a cigarette since my first draw on an Evod

Since you're into DIY, have you thought of extracting your own NET (Naturally Extracted Tobacco) using some of your own tobacco? From what I understand, The mass-produced commercial cigs are not recommended due to the slew of chemicals and additives in the cigs, they apparently taste nasty! There have been reports of success using American Spirit organic as well as Nat Sherman MCD.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liquid-extraction-tobacco/ might be some good reading for you to get an idea what's going on... especially this one...
    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...57599-slow-cooker-extraction-tobacco-tea.html

Some unflavored PG, slow-cooker method is really popular and there are dozens using it and getting awesome results.

If that's not quite your cup of tea, NETcom (Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco.com) sells extracts and all you have to do is mix it yourself into whatever unflavored nicotine base you like.
    Extracts

His Cigarette Extracts are Speaking Spirit, Big Spirit, Organic Spirit, NS Brown and NS Dark. You could also add a bottle of Sun-cured Turkish, Air-Cured Burley and Fire-Cured Burley, maybe some Flue-Cured Virginia to fine-tune your mixes to add some "UUMPH" to it.

Yeah, I thought about makin my own but I thought you could BUY an extract or concentrate to diy with that tasted similar to an analog. So far I can't get the flavors I'm usin to do that. I don't want a premix, I can get plenty of those. My problem is makin one. I'm havin no problems with any other juices, just tobacco
