I went to fill my kayfun yesterday and found that it won't come off of the mod. It feels like its hitting a screw or something. It will turn just a bit and then hit something hard. Not sure if its the airflow control screw.

Is there a way I can get it off without hurting my kayfun or the istick?
Any help is very appreciated!

Thanks!

that pin is a spring one on the istick 30watt so it should "give" if you've got the kayfun's (are we talking a V4? that's what I use)

I've had mine stick a bit..and I'd take a jar opener rubber circle thing or a coozie to get a better grip on it and remember lefty loosey righty tighty!!

Hope you get it unstuck.

Good luck with this problem. I always use the 510 ego connector on my iStick. I had a similar issue with my Nautilus Mini. I guess I screwed the tank on too tight and when I tried to remove it, i could only get the top part of the tank off. I had to take the top off and use a pair of pliers to get the bottom off and scratched up the top of my IStick pretty good. It still works thankfully and that's why I use that connector so if a tank or clearo gets stuck again i can just remove the connector and go from there without fear of damaging my mod. I know this won't help with your current situation, but just some unsolicited advice for the future :)

Yeah I've got a couple of KF 3.1's with plier marks due to the base threads locking on to the 510 connector. Wrap the pliers jaws with tape or wrap the tank with a moist cloth and wrench that sucker loose.

Wish I had thought about wrapping the pliers with tape. However, I'm not that mechanically inclined

Now I know. Thanks for that tidbit of info!

I had the same problem, but on my mech. It actually unscrewed the locknut on the inside of my 510. I had to pull down on the wire that is inserted into the 510 to back off the tank's pin and it came free easily. Won't help with an iStick though. I think it may be a flaw in the design of some spring loaded 510's rather than the AFC screw on the tank. Had the same problem a week or so later with a dripper.

Its an Ehpro. I def think its the airflow screw because it will turn back and forth just a little bit and it feels like its hitting something hard. I think the screw is caught on one of the airflow slots. Going to try some skinny rubber bands and see if I can get under there with them.
Let us know when/how you get the tank off. I never thought of that and can't think of a way to get it off other than sheer brute force. Taking the airflow screws out of my Kayfuns now.

Happens to me too. IN fact the juice flow base got similarly stuck the day after I got it. Thankfully it got stuck in the open position so I could refill it in a round about way (through the airholes on the inside of the bell) and never actually stopped using it. But the other day I got the same problem as OP when the whole thing got stuck to my tube mod. I just had to take pliers to it. Thankfully the operation resulted in also clearing the problem with the juice flow ring so now it's all working fine.... until it gets stuck again! :) But now i think i have learnt a very important lesson - always to screw down things very gently and stop the minute it arrives at destination... absolutely no over-tightening. BTW, I had a similar episode as OP even with a KF Lite, so this might be a problem with Kayfuns in general, or at least their clones, since that is what I have.

If you want to leave the screw in your Kayfuns, you can put a dab of clear nail polish on it. It will keep it from backing out. I took mine out as an airflow preference. Does cause a bit of leakage though.

Not just a Kayfun problem. That's what makes me think it's the 510 connector.
