When I discovered condom fills I was able to become an instant master. Syringe fills are supposed to be easiest, but they're really grating on my nerves.

I fill the syringe to .9ml. Insert into one side of the carto all the way, and press the plunger as I come up for a total of .45ml. Then I do the same on the other side.

The result always ends up being a shrunken filler and tons of juice coming out the connector. I can guarantee that no juice at all is leaking into the tube at the top.

What am I doing wrong?

i have never syringe filled a filler carto. unless you are up against time constraints, just drip into the filler until you get a drop out the bottom.

i fill that way even while driving. (few drops every 15 mins or so).
dripping and driving is not only stupid,..you might run over my grandma,..please refrain from making that mistake.

for filling....sounds like you might be using too much juice...if you are inserting needle on the outer-inside of carto (not in middle airtube) then you are not doing anything wrong. but too much juice will spill into airtube.
if filled correctly you should see little or no drips coming from bottom.

You're probably pushing the juice through the syringe too quickly, not allowing time for the fill material to absorb it. If you plunge it through too quickly for the fill to absorb, it has to go somewhere--which will be out the bottom or the top. Slow and steady, mate! How slow? Depends on the viscosity of your juice and how absorbent your carto's fill material is. Shouldn't take more than twenty seconds or so, though, and no mess to clean up -- and no wasted juice. And taphandle is correct in the proper needle placement. No reason to go all the way to the bottom.

i never got into syringe filling. i tried it a few times and it always left dry spots. i used clear shell with filler cartomizers so i could see what was happening. i did it nice and slow, but no dice.

condom method for 35mm cartos works best for me. i even condom fill the 45mm ones too, but those need to be topped off. condom filling just offers the most saturation imo.

but for re-filling, i just drip. work slowly and rotate around as you fill, do the thermometer shake, and roll the carto in your hands like your trying to keep warm. this will disperse the juice evenly.

YMMV
