When I got mine, first mod, first day without a cigg. Come home for the evening and go to hit it and nothing, blank screen. Panic mode shops closed, no ciggs and was loving my first day of vaping and really wanted to make that mornings cigg, the last one of my last pack which wasnt planned btw, so Im convulsing, shaking, sweating, why why why wont this damn thing work. "I knew I shoulda got a mech, why did I buy this stupid computer chip thing the shop guy strongly recommended" I said to myself. Changed batteries, unscrewd then rescrewed tank back on nothing NOTHING what am I gonna do. Then realized it was turned off lol. Once I hit the big button 5 times quick she fired right up and I felt like a complete dumbass.
Did you put the battery in the right way. I'm not being fly, it's an easy mistake to make. Nipple goes in first so the flat base is at the bottom. 5 Click (sometimes 6 or even 7 depending on the button I suppose) and it should work.
If not, try your second battery, if you are still not getting it to work, it may be the wrapping on the battery not allowing it to make contact or your vamo might be defective.
If you can post a picture of the battery, I think we'll be able to tell if the wrapping is not letting it make contact.
Here ya go. It's not even blinking when the cap makes contact. Neither battery worksI'll assume your using 18650 2200 mah aw or imr batteries? Chemically protected. These should work.
If so and installed correctly nipple end in first, and fire button pressed 5-8 times it should work.
Can also try pulling up the spring a bit on cap to make sure u have contact.
Has the Vamo worked before with a different battery?
If you do have a way to test the battery voltage with a multimeter it would be very helpful to figure out if it's the battery or the Vamo.
What about on the flat end of the battery, is there wrapping on the bottom of it that might prevent the spring from making contact?
Do those batteries work in your MVP?
Derp, yes, good point![]()
Rare to have a Vamo not power on. Exceptions usually include:
Battery not sufficiently charged - Yes some ship with NO actual charge and take a few hours to prepare.
Topper screwed down to tight - Will some times short Vamo and it will turn off.
Check/raise center pin.
Attempt to turn on without installing the tank
Look inside and make sure nothing is blocking the upper contact. - it happens.
I know this isn't any help, but I am so surprised you didn't go with the SVD since you own a MVP. JMO the SVD outdoes the Vamo in every way. I have 3 Vamos......collecting dust. Hope you find the solution.
I took a Dremel to my Vamos and made them into Mechs...![]()
