I recently got a new Vamo and a TrustFire TR-001 charger. The new Efest 18650 battery has been charging for nearly 8 hours and I still don't have a green light. Is it normal to take this long? I charged ab Efest 18350 and it took around 2 1/2 hours to charge. This is my first mod other than a Twist, so any help would be appreciated.

Battery cells need to wake up after being asleep for a long time from the factory. First few charge and use will be erratic, it should normalize after a few uses.
That makes sense, I imagine it was at a complete discharge when I got it although I didn't check it to be sure. It should take less time to charge it in the future then since it won't be at total discharge I would imagine?

I've noticed this happen on several batteries that work fantastic after charging - the ones that I notice it happen to most often are AW IMR 18650s. As always, monitor the batteries as they're charging as a safety measure - if there is excessive heat build up then unplug the charger and dispose of the batteries in a safe manner after they've cooled. The long charge time at first doesn't seem to have had any adverse effect on my vaping. YMMV.
