Does anyone else have this problem - I love the new auto batteries but if I need to use one of my manuals while charging the new ones I forget to hold down the button... the new autos are just so smooth, guess I'd better order a few more.

I have the opposite problem..I try to press the button on my new blingy auto batt...can't wait for the manuals!
I do the same thing Ms. Mary Kay. Feel like an idiot every time I spin the battery in my hand looking for the button.
I have done that too.
Take a draw and think man this battery did't last long,then it's doh went from an auto to a manual.

A FloridaGal I work with took a minute to catch on to the manuals too. I let her borrow a PV, I told her to press the button. She pressed the button, then released it before trying to take a draw ... and she got nothing. It seems she thought you just press the button to turn it on, LOL.
IowaGal, manuals are so much better, you might as well buy them exclusively from here on out. Then, you'll get used to it. Hit the button a second or so before you want to take a draw (and hold it, heh).

Have you tried the new autos? I have 8 manuals that are charged an in the backup bag since I received the new ones. I really do know how to utilize a manual, was just trying to be funny - so much for humor
It's all good, not smoking is good! Some people like autos, some manuals, tomato, tomahto,etc. Since I've always been an oddball, of course I've been using autos for the last 8 months and am happy with my choice.
