Been vaping for over 2 years and have eased my way down from 24 mg to 6mg. I've been using 6 for over a year and have tried 0 in bursts trying to erase the nic altogether, but I always find myself the next day grabbing the 12 for a chain vape session. Just can't stop the cycle. What have others who have totally dropped the nic done to get over that hump?

Putting the 0mg nic liquid in a bottle with a 6mg label might do the trick.

Kidding of course, but I often wonder what would happen if, unbeknownst to me, someone switched out all my 18mg for 0mg (keeping the 18mg marked bottles). In other words, I wonder how much of the nic fixation is just in my head.

Elaborate a bit. What do you feel physically that causes you to chain vape 12mg? Maybe it's just the idea of going all day with that big 0. It's like, "I'm empty now....fill me up!"

For me, it's often difficult to separate body from mind in this regard.

I have been vaping for only 2 months now but i started at a 24mg as well i am now at a 0mg thing is though i live in Colorado so my lungs are filled with other smoke most the time if you catch meh drift! I found personally it isnt about the nic for me its just the smoke..
what everyone else reccomended is spot on to what i would reccomend cutting a 6mg with 0mg or even a 3mg with 0mg, cerebral with get cha if you let it! your stronger than that considering you went from a 24 all the way to a 6mg! good for you bud!

I am trying to vape 0 as well... it's a challenge.
One thing I am trying that seems to help is using a .6 for those times I really used to crave a cig such as with my morning coffee or after a meal.
Also, I purchased my favorite, "can't get enough of" liquid in zero. The only .6 liquid I have left are the ones I'm not as fond of.
I think, for me anyway, it's just going to take some time. I am happy to have stepped down from 1.8 - even happier that I am an EX-smoker.

Good luck!

Here's a few things I will try when the time comes for me...

- Mix 6mg with the same juice at 0mg to get it down further - 6mg is a big jump when you can't chain vape to make up for it.

- Fill my ADV tank with 0mg and have a 6mg or 12mg mini filled up as a backup for those times I really need it. No way I'm taking the risk to get a craving without backup and while being with my smoking coworkers. I don't want to risk caving in and asking for a cigarette. I'm actually keeping a few 12mg juices that I don't like, just so I can use them as emergency backup when I try to get down to 0.

I also believe that a big part of it is psychological, as Jambi said. So maybe I'll try filling 6mg bottles with 0mg juice so I don't know what I'm vaping.

I may also use the last of my 7mg nic patches, either for a few days or as an emergency solution, so my brain finally stop associating nic intake with vaping.
