I need to switch juices every now and then for a day in order to get my daily juice to have taste again. For example, today I am vaping Mojito from Tasty Vapor, instead of my own DIY flavor.

After awhile I think our taste buds just get used to the same old thing and we lose the flavor because of it. I've found "reseting" my taste buds is just a part of my vaping regime.

Minty may be hard to get out of your atty, so you may end up dedicating an atty just for that flavor.

It took me a couple weeks to get sorted out on what flavors and their rotation were going to keep me off analogs. After that, it was all just looking for better TH and Vapor production.

Hang in there. E cigs have a learning curve but it's not as steep as it seems in the beginning.

Unfortunately some of us go through a "no taste phase". I went through it about 4 or 5 weeks ago and it lasted ~a week and a half for me. If this is what's happening, and it may not be if your allergies are kicking up, here is a thread about what some people have tried http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-maintenance/123897-no-taste.html. If it continues, just hang in there, it will go away and your vape will taste again :).

I'm not getting any taste, just throat burn. I think it might be very weak batteries that are causing my problem.

If you have access to a multimeter, measure the voltage of your battery after charging. If the battery is manual, don't forget to hit the button; if automatic, you can blow through the LED end to activate (be careful not to blow any saliva into the battery ;)). The 510 'starter kit' mini batteries, I believe, are regulated to 3.2V; 808s should read at least 3.7V.
To measure place the positive lead from the meter on the center post and the negative lead on the threads.

If anyone more knowledgeable about exact voltages of the cig-style batteries would like to confirm or correct the above numbers, please do; it's been a while since I measured these type of batteries.

Of course, mod batteries should be ~4.2V fully charged.

Vaping the same flavor for too long can make your taste buds get used to it and it tricks your brain into thinking there isn't any flavor. Allergies, colds, flu or any nasal problems can also mess up your sense of taste. Then there's the "flavor cycling" where your taste buds are going through a regeneration cycle, which can also mess up taste.

Try switching flavors, using mouthwash or eating some crusty bread to see if any of these help.

If your throat is sore or burning, drink more water. I cannot stress enough that both PG and VG are dehydrating. They're hygroscopic, so they attract water and this helps create the vapor you exhale. Drink water, drink water, drink water!
