I went to Shari's restaurant tonight with my brother who also vapes, and when we got there I thought I would be polite and ask the waitress if it was ok to use my PV in there. She didn't know what it was and I showed her and explained it, and she said " I don't think you can do that in here, but I will ask the manager". She asked the manager and she said that he said that we can't use them there, that it was corporate policy. This is the first non-smoking place that I have tried it, and I was told no. 8-oHow discouraging. Oh well at least I asked instead of just doing it. I did however, since the booths were big and no one could see me, vape and blow it under the table. I really thought they wouldn't have a problem with it. Oh well. It was only 1 restaurant and not at all a bar. They don't even serve alcohol. Maybe the bars would be different.

Your right we did quit at the same time. Anyway, the smoking ban in restaurants (bars were not included) was in 98'. It was right before I turned 18. So all through highschool I would smoke and drink coffee at those places. The bars and all indoor areas banned smoking probably 4 or 5 years ago. Can't remember for sure. You have to be 25 feet from doors and windows too. The only place that you can smoke indoors that I know of is at the casinos on the reservations around town.

Hey Jenn,
No problem vaping anywhere I've tried in the PNW.
Why ask - unless blowing clouds of vape around unnecessarily, no one usually even knows. I use more like an inhaler.... no major vape clouds...

Sometimes a strange look..... then on the approach there's no smoke/smell so whoever might have considered questioning me gets a puzzled look on their face and they just walk away.

ScrewDriver - 901 - Cisco Laser Vaper ... all have been used in
the bank
restaurants
office buildings
literally in front of police - walking by while taking a 'puff'
retail - any/everywhere I go
dr. office waiting room

I think, even though others may find this 'strange' the battery mods that don't look exactly like a cig.... and holding inhale so little if any vape exhaled - works better than using my actual 901 battery and looking like I've got a cig.

Happy Vaping!
30 Years of smoking...
Vaporized by my ScrewDriver!

It was easy to hide it after they said no, so I see what you mean. Depending on where you are you probably could use it without anyone even noticing. I just wish that people didn't care so much. It's not going to hurt anyone, not to mention there was only 2 other people in the restaurant at a far away booth.

Guess I should add- I would always stop if someone was bothered.....
and my reason for semi-stealth is not to get away with anything.
Since it's not smoke - unless someone questions - I politely indulge - with little if any noticeable reaction from anyone.

I did have a lady once claim (outdoors) that it bothered her - I stopped.... though I think she just thought 'looks like smoke - bothers me'.
No reason to bug anyone

Blsssngs,
Kathy
