So I am sitting here cruising these forums, reading posts, vaping away and BAM no vapor from my crappy little Puff. The tank is only a day old, one of those completely closed deals with the wicks hanging down. They used to work for days for me, with the sorta ok Puff ejuice, but I bought a few bottles of Johnson Creek to hold me over till my new more permanent gear shows up. Apparently these little Puff guys must not like it.

I have one more new unused tank but I don't wanna ruin it....Friday I order, should be here by Wednesday or Thursday next week...I can do this!

Anyone else have a problem like this?

USED to like me some Johnson Creek
but they clog'd my coils up so bad I stopped using their juice

can you dis assemble your tanks / coils, or are they sealed ?

ever try dry-burn ? (y tube search)

good luck

I can't get the thing open. It is close to the style you linked pufZepplin but only has two wicks. If I let it sit for a bit it works just fine again. I am willing to bet there is some clogging going on in there.

Susan, I am ordering a Nautilus with an eLeaf iStick, and a Aspire Premium Kit, that comes with the Nautilus Mini and the CC+ 1000 Mah battery.

+1. You did very good!:)

I have the Nautilus (full sized) w/the BVC's and the eLeaf iStick. Love them! The iStick runs hot but the BVC's can handle it. So don't be surprised when a 3.8v on your iStick is totally different than 3.8v on your other battery.

With regards to the iStick there are a few problems with regard to it's circuitry (it measures mean not RMS). It is not capable of down regulating power (it is widely inaccurate, especially at lower voltages). As long as you're aware of it and don't need a battery that can output voltages between 3v and 4.2 volts, you may like it. It does go up to 20 watts (but only using a 1.1 ohm coil).

If you are interested in seeing more about what is really going on with the iStick see a great post by fellow ECF member Peraspera: Wattage Ranges for Specific Ohm Builds Using iStick Specs

So I should dial the iStick down then? Like if I like a 3.8v on another battery (no idea what voltage I actually like yet :p) then on the iStick it would need to be dialed down a bit? I could totally get a different mod, I just liked the looks of the iStick and it was recommended to me.

You can't dial it down, that's the thing. It has a boost circuit, but no "buck" (that allows you to set the voltage lower than what the battery is producing).

Like the Cat said, you can't go below 4.2v on the Stick. That's just one problem with it. The other one is rather soft 510 connection (sinking pin, threads getting stripped bare), spotty charging. I would never recommend an iStick to a new vaper--or as a primary device to anyone.

I like my Kanger clearomizers. I like coils that can be easily accessed for cleaning, dry burning and rebuilding.

Oh, if your 100% VG is too thick, you can easily thin it out a bit with a couple of drops of distilled water--2-3 drops per 1 ml should do it.

I prefer a cool vape. 3.3 - 3.7 volts on an ego style battery. I hesitated to get an iStick due to the concern about the heat. I typically use the iSticks with 1.8 ohm coils at 3.0- 3.4 Eleaf volts. The glass clearomizers (Nautilus mini, K1, ProTank2 mini and AeroTank mini) seem to handle the heat well. It is as if they absorb some of the heat. When using the plastic Aspire CE5s they can get hot quick. I take soft, smooth puffs with the CE5s. If I forget I'm quickly reminded with a whack to the throat.

I currently have 3 iSticks going. One with the Nautilus mini, another with a K1 and the newly arrived pink princess with a CE5. I have 2 more Nautilus minis on order so that I am not limited in my choices.

With the Nautilus mini I am gradually increasing the voltage with some flavors and it is working out
fine.

Do not hesitate like I did.
