str8 I understand you like Capella's. I do also and ty for your work. It is going to help me out when I finally get rid of this head cold. On another hand I had some slight involvement in a discussion on Mrs T's thread where I didn't agree with her fans. I posted my thoughts there and str8 did also. (we were on opposite sides) I had no private messages from str8 or anyone there. I would also have no problem pming str8 if I needed help with a Capella's recipe. We are all adults and can be respectful of one another.

I would love to hear more about what you decided to do. Did you let it steep more, add more flavor? I just made a batch almost identical to yours and felt the same way. I made mine about 8 AM yesterday and tried this morning. Results, a really good, but really light flavor. Anyone else have experience with steeping times for this particular flavor?

OK, 24 hour steeping report for 3ml:

Cap's Apple Pie @ 12%
Nic - 15mg in 60PG/40VG
Lemon juice - 1 drop
Tested with 306 atty @ 3.7VDC (measured inline with atty)

Got just a lil' taste of da luv... But it didn't have much 'depth' to the flavs.
-TH mild (no issue for me)
-Tons of vapor (critical for me)
-Sweetness just right

Should I up the flav %?
Add more LJ?
Try ACV?
More steep time?

This has great potential! Now, just to dial it in...

I added one drop of flav (which makes 13-14%) and LJ. That and the additional steep has brought out the cinnamon a 'touch'. Hadn't detected it previously.

Gonna let it steep another day and retest. I'll probably mix up some 15%. I think this flav will be worth the efforts.

The Capella Apple pie is one of my favorite standalones! 'Normal' for me with Capella is 5-10% ...period. There are just a couple that for me need to be 15% and this is one of them. When I first tried it to be perfectly honest I wasn't all that impressed, so I added some ACV (apple cider vinegar) and then....forgot aaaaaall about it while I moved on to more of the multitude of flavs I'd just ordered. About 3 weeks later I noticed it sitting there and decided to try it one more time and see if there was something I could do to make it as yummy as everyone else seemed to think it was. So, I tasted it.
HOLY COW it was good!! No wait, not just good, it was awesome!! Does the acv help? Imo absolutely. Does it need to steep for 3 weeks? Probably not, but it does need a good steep to get depth and for all the flavors to develop. It also tastes better every time I try it...honestly, it just doesn't stop.
So, my advice for what it's worth? (I'm no expert or guru) Bump it up to 15%, add 2 drops of acv per ml, shake it up and let it steep. :)
Enjoy!

I would! I've added a bit of Black Smoke and it's awesome. In fact when that crust flavor develops it really reminds me (don't worry, doesn't taste like) of a rich apple tobacco :)

Good to know BB-- I've been needing tobacco more and even if it might be an odd combo I will give it a try. That Black Smoke is very tastey.

Was wondering on how prominent the cinnamon is or if it was detectable at all--sounds mild, which in my case is probably going to be a good thing.

Yes, only after some steeping did the cin appear. I also tend to appreciate a cin hint, as opposed to a hit.

I'm getting the 'crust' hint and just a lil' bit of apple. If my latest addition doesn't sate my buds, I'm thinkin' of a bit of green apple...

Sorry for the delayed response. Update: added a drop of Caps Green Apple to the remaining 1.5ml. Two days steeping and YEA! I now get the apple, crust and touch of cin. It's not an in your face flavor burst, but has a very pleasant multi-layer experience.

Gonna mix up another 3ml using 14% Apple Pie and 3% Green Apple, and go from there. Might add some lemon juice after a 24 hour steep... we'll see.

OK, I made the leap. Mixed up 30ml of the following:

nic base - 60PG/40VG @ 15mg
Cap's Apple Pie - 14%
Cap's Green Apple - 3%
Lemon juice - 10 drops

Steeped 24 hrs. and vaping in a Vision eGo clearomizer on a Buzz Pro @ 4V.

Had to wave away the vapor in order to see my monitor and wipe my mouth (for keyboard safety) due to the great flav.

On the next batch, I'll probably lower the AP by 1-2% and increase the GA by the same. Regardless, this 'un is a keeper, even if I can't improve the flav.

Just started testing the Vision eGo clearomizer (2.6Ω measured) from CigTechs and must say that the flav and vapor is awesome! BUT, don't let the wick get near dry... harsh. Hate being a baton twirler, but I hope to modify my in-hand habits to continue to enjoy this setup and mix.

I just bought 4 of those (couldn't beat the price!) even though I'd just seen P Busardo's video review saying meh...and I love them! Tried apple pie in the first one....amaaaaaazing how much cleaner the flavor is without all that filler. :)

Str8V8ping thank you for your advice, knowledge, and willingness to share on this forum! I have not tried any of your recipes, I may try some with some slight variations, I may try some exactly the way you recommend them, but either way I appreciate what you bring to the forum, Please keep it up! On a side note, I LOVE CAPELLA, all Capella, like you said I too have not tried a flat out bad one yet, I certainly can not say that about any vendor I have tried to date, and there have been quite a few to go through my kitchen.

After testing this flavor @ 15% and right away test and 2-3 day steep.

My observation is it needs more apple and less spice, I added 3 drops tpa apple to see if that will boost the apple and so far no luck. Its is an apple pie but for me its far more crust and spice then actual apple. I will re-review in a week as other vendors apple has always taken a week or so to steep the proper apple flavor.
