A while ago now, I bought a load of Capella Chocolate Fudge Brownie flavour drops and used some in my eliquid. Bleurgh! The only way I can describe the taste is "plastic" - it was like vaping a dropper bottle. Wondering if it was the way I'd used it in my eliquid, I put a drop of it in a cup of water and swilled it around my mouth. I got exactly the same taste.

I experimented with different percentages of flavouring and this one flavour just kept on tasting like plastic.

Anybody know anything about why?

I also had that blergh-heave reaction to CAP Chocolate Fudge Brownie. I tried it from .5 to 10% and it was all terrible.

Then one day I had a caramel coffee recipe that begged for something chocolate. I added one little drop of CFB to my (probably 5ml) finished recipe, and it was absolutely ideal - not artificial, plastic, or overbearing at all! It turned my boring caramel coffee into very tasty caramel mocha.

I have used Chocolate Glazed Doughnut the same way, just one drop in a finished 5ml of something that needs a little milk chocolate flavor. If you like very sweet candy flavor, try it with TFA Peanut Butter and your favorite caramel.

I can't stand any Capella chocolates plain, but these two can work really well as a small additions to recipes.

Add lots of Vanilla. Keep in mind I have not tried my hand at DIY juice yet, but I have been reading ALOT so that I can start. The one tip I have gathered about using chocolate flavors is to add vanilla to the recipe. The vanilla rounds out the chocolate to give it a more natural flavor or so I've gathered.

Also read to add mint (just a couple of drops) to root beer to give it a more A&W taste.
