Capella No Taste

A couple of Capella flavors I recently ordered are FAR weaker than what I received before. I still wonder if the purpose of their sale prices was to unload old or bad (didn't meet spec) inventory.

This is also why I never order fish specials at restaurants. The last time I got blue crab via the "special of the day", I almost gagged from the rotted smell that they tried to mask by drowning it in soy sauce.

Could be..

I have their new Sweet Guava and it is strong.

I have a big bottle of Sweet Tangerine I haven't touched yet I'll mix some it tomorrow hopefully it has some punch.

I just another bottle of Capella Sweet Tangerine I haven't gotten any flavor from the replacements. The latest arrival has flavor, I'm stuck with two bottles of no flavor. I noticed that the new arrival doesn't have any Alcohol so they have changed the formulation.

Mine is one that has the alcohol and that is about all it tastes like. I even tried it as they suggest for a drink and it was no good.

I wasn't sure what happened when I mixed one of my favorites, but I was definitely missing the Tangerine.

I had the same issues with Tangerine that you guys are describing. Tried it in water according to the directions on the bottle, and still no flavor. It is my 1st and only bottle of Tangerine, so I thought it was just me. I have also had 2 bottles of Cinnamon Danish Swirl that were completely different from each other in terms of concentration.

Oh wow. I just ordered some Sweet Tangerine from Capella's last night, so hope it will be OK. My hubby has decided he wants to start vaping and asked me to mix him up a batch of . . . tangerine! I've never used Capella's before, so if I get a good batch can I use it by itself or does it need sweetener, EM, or something else?

I found it a bit too much alone too. I added coconut and sweet cream and it tasted like a tropical life saver.

I brought it down to 10% and it was too "tangy". Like Tang. I haven't messed with it yet (have 2 bottles), but if I can't change it majorly, I'll be offering it up for trade. Some lot as Ms. Bliss and Brian.

I order Capella's regularly and got one bottle of lemon meringue pie that had NO flavor. I think it just happens. I would suggest testing other similar flavors, if you still have an issue with taste then it might be your taste buds going wonky. If not it was just a bad bottle.

I recently placed an order on sale including lemon meringue pie, lot #a4535. 10ml, 10% and a two week steep the flavor was a light cheesecakes with barely a hint of lemon, not what I would sense as a meringue, though. Left me wanting, but I have no prior experience with this one from Capella. Don't know if that helps any...


Added note: same order and sale, French toast, lot#a4707...
9% and a two week steep, also 10 ml: weak, no specific notes whatsoever, or at least at this percentage.

Noooo! I was about to mix some of this French Toast, it smells amazing.



I made some of the Banana Split from this sale at 10%, very weak.

Anyone who's having issues with light flavor in these products should consider trying them in water, coffee, etc. according to the directions on the bottle. It seems to me like this would be the best test.

I tried it in soda water and in yogurt as suggested and all I got was a mild alcohol taste.

For reference, mine's A4531, and it seems to be strong and full of flavor... could've just been a bad batch....(which sucks!)

Hmm.. I did notice my gingerbread flavor was very very light.. but I never used Capella flavors before and don't know if I used enough either..
What do you guys use gingerbread at?
