Hi,
I can't seem to find the DIY mixing sub-forum... In any case, I have been wanting to boost the flavor in my e-liquid as I have been adding VG to make it a bit smoother and less dehydrating. It's been working great, but I would like a bit of a flavor boost. I have trouble sourcing Lor-Anns flavoring to New Zealand and I haven't been able to locate a US supplier who ships to New Zealand.

Now I've seen a link to Capella Flavor drops and they seem to ship to New Zealand. Here's the link: flavored shake, water flavor drops, flavor water, fruit drops, Flavored water, coffee flavors, bottled drinking water - Testimonials Do you think this could work?

Some ppl actually prefer the capella flavor drops to Lorann's...just make sure that no matter what you purchase, you steer clear of any flavoring that is an oil base (that is what I have heard anyway!) :)

I  capellas flavor drops! Their french vanilla, chocolate fudge brownie, and apple pie are to die for! :D You'll probably prefer them to loranns, the taste is right on. Some loranns, like the chocolate, taste a little fake or kinda like a tootsie pop..

Capellaflavordrops also is having a 30% off sale with coupon code HOLIDAY2009 - til january I believe. So if you buy two bottles, it's like getting a third for free!

They come in large bottles only though, but in volume, it's cheaper than loranns for the same size.

;)

Is that +4 drops using unflavored juice?

No ... that's a internet shortcut - +1 for agreeing and I did a +4 for the others above me ;-) I second, third and fourth the idea. The vanilla custard is one of the only good vanillas in flavoring that isn't oil based. And some of there stuff like 'french toast' etc. are very good and not easily duplicated with loranns flavors. Flavorart is also a good resource - out of Italy and perhaps they might also have a better shipping arrangement.

Well I finally tried 4 of theirs.

Cool mint is great if you're looking for minty.

Graham cracker is more of an add-on mild flavor I'd say, kinda cookie like. Can't exactly put it in my mind yet.

Double choc. Dunno if I got a defective one of this but mine has nothing to do with chocolate. Same goes for Caramel. :(

I'm hoping for more luck with the others I'm waiting for. But I'll give these another shot in the morning, could be a bit with my taste buds too.

For me, their Chocolate Fudge Brownie is the only way to go. Definitely chocolaty! Mix in a bit of Hazelnut, some cinnamon and Keoki Coffee (the only flavor I use from Lorann's) and it has been my daily vape for many, many months...

I agree. Fudge brownie was the first e liquid I made and I was so happy it just blew away the chocolate stuff i bought for flavor. Now I mix the 2 to get the nic level i want and the better flavor of the fudge.

Strange, my dbl choc is VERY chocolaty. Maybe it needs to be shaken?

I also prefer Capellas in most cases to the similar flavor in Lorann's. And I personally do not find I need more of the Capella's. In fact I generally go with less...but then I'm finding that I'm cutting back on flavors in general after having a couple give me a case of the coughs (Lorann butter and Capella Choc Toffee).

Capella caramel is what I use to give a little sweetness to a DIY. Very nice with the vanilla custard.

I think you'll be very happy with capellas. And don't forget they can also be used in baking!

Typical recipes call for about 10-20% flavoring. Everyones taste buds are different so start out lower and add. If you have 3Ml bottles use them to test as to not waste alot of Nic or just use plain VG in about a 80/20 % ratio to get your desired taste to not waste your Nic juice.
Thanks for all the helpful replies. Another question... If I'm going to be using the drops to boost flavor, how many drops would be a good starting point?

Typically I use 5 drops unflavored VG and 15 drops flavoured nic juice.

DOH! How could I forget such a basic thing. I feel like a total ..... now :D

Indeed, it seems the main residue was on the bottom, well shaken it now even smells chocolaty. Hehe thanks man.

BTW how many drops of caramel do you prefer. Let's say for a 5ml liquid? I found it strangely strong but I think when testing I went overboard with the amount. And wasn't well shaken then too
