Does anyone have both of these and care to do a comparison, or try to describe the Capella one? I have only the FA Fresh Fig. It's quite nice, a light fresh almost-not-quite-ripe fig taste but I'd like something a bit more...ripe and earthy and figgy I guess.

Sorry I can't help answer your question but I'll be following with interest; been thinking about mixing up a nice fig and tobacco brew.
Berner, that's exactly what I want it for. I mixed up the FA fig with some VZSC Honey Flue Cure tobacco and a touch of Gourmet Honey but it's too airy and light. Tasty but I want it earthier. I think I need to blend the HFCT with another tobacco for sure but....yeah. Isn't DIY fun? lol

I wonder if a Whiskey or Rum Flavor would make it Earthier
Probably not the whiskey or rum that I have...but a bit of honey, hs apple mix and a dash of lemon might make a nice hot toddy with the whiskey. I wish HS or VZ or those Baker guys made a fig. It's weird making a drop or two of this or that with a percentage or 3 or 4 of something else.
