Capella or Flavourart: Which do you prefer?

I'm getting my stuff togther for DIY and based on the rave reviews on the Perfumer's Apprentice thread I've ordered all of her flavors

I'll need other flavors she doesn't have. What is the better of the two between Capella and Flavorart and which would you invest in?

Doh, I forgot about Loranne's. Please comment on those too.

Flavourart gets my vote, very concentrated good flavoring. I've only bought one Capella flavoring and it was vanilla custard and it's very good also. For the money Flavouart 1-5% added flavor compared to Capella 10-20%, do the math, JMO of course.
EDIT: I think you will be fine with the PA flavors, that's all I'm using for the most part now and I'm very satisfied with their flavors, price and low shipping cost.

I have an assortment of Capella,Loranns,Flavourart. Some are good from one and not so good from another. I agree the Flavourars are more concentrated but some of there flavors are gross but the same flavor from the others is good. Its all a matter of trial and error and everyones taste is different, what one may love another may hate. Taste is very subjective and hard to get a straight honest opinion for that reason

PS there is also Tasty Puff and Faires Finest

There are no real facts in this kind of stuff, just opinion.

Mine, um, well FA has some great flavors that are real concentrated. I am not overjoyed with the strength of the caramel or green apple. Both seem weak to me. Their tobacco flavors are VERY strong. Their roasted marshmallow is shockingly strong which seems to me to be a tough flavor to get so concentrated, go figure?

Capella's flavors also have strong and weak parts. Their French Vanilla is nice and strong, but their Cappaccino is weaker.

There are many other examples. Also, things like the Capella version of Red Bull seems weak at first, but gets stronger as you let the mix be. Takes about a week to get it to full strength which is making it difficult to get a Jagerbomb recipe right at the moment. You'll find this with many flavors.

As to which I would invest in, both. Not all of them, but they all seem to have good points and bad points. You can get some things from FA that seem to be tough to find anywhere else. And then you can do things like add a few drops of Capella French Vanilla and Roasted Almond to a cup of green tea and have something wonderful you'll not find elsewhere.

Each is going to have flavors that shine. For instance, Capella Vanilla Custard consistently gets rave reviews from most people - and it's very strong indeed. Too sweet for me.

And not all Flavourart flavors are strong, their Virginia is quite subtle while their Desert Ship is over the top (in MY experience. YMMV!).

I'm going to jump on the "it depends" bandwagon! I really like FlavourArt for many, many flavors. Their tobaccos and espresso are wonderfully strong. They are normally quite true to taste in my opinion. There are exceptions however. And Capella has some flavors that are absolutely wonderful - at least to me! I love their Vanilla Custard and Pralines & Cream. I use very few of the LorAnn flavorings, but there are some that I keep around. Many LorAnn flavorings to have an off taste that I haven't been able to work around. Perfumer's Apprentice Caramel is wonderful! And the other flavors of theirs that I have tried have been very good - but not all of them are equal in strength.

So... in summary... I would suggest that you start collecting flavors that you think might appeal to you and see what you like. I don't think you can really pick a single flavoring brand!
