Hey folks. I've gotten my hands on some LorAnn flavors, and they are proving to be problem children.

I'm just not getting that much vapor production.

I've done DIY before, mostly with Perfumer's Apprentice, FlavorArt, and Seedman's.

I use 60mg PG nic base, diluted to 16mg, and 15% flavor. 90% PG, 10% VG.

The ones that are being particularly underwhelming on the vapor are:
- Mint Chocolate Chip (which is a shame because I LOVE the flavor)
- Chocolate Hazelnut
- Cheesecake

Strawberry's a little better. Cinnamon Bun was ok but unfortunately I don't really like the taste.

So, what's the secret to making LorAnn flavors perform?

*sigh* So more VG?

Problem is, I like my flavors STRONG. REALLY STRONG. I use 10% FlavorArt for my Green Tea mixes. I'm insane.

Which is exactly the reason I don't use much VG.

In order to get the level of flavor I want, I'd have to hike up the percentage to maybe 20%? But I'm guessing once you start getting that high, that starts to kill vapor production too...

Is there any solution to the vapor problem that doesn't require loss of flavor? :(

LorAnn's flavors are PG-based, and sometimes need pretty high amounts (like the Mint Choc Chip and the Cheesecake). This means that if you use say, 25% flavoring, your 90/10 base becomes 92.5/7.5. Going up to 20% VG you have an end ratio of 85/15, which shouldn't affect flavor much more than the 91/9 you normally have.

This hits it on the head... Also, some flavors are just more pronounced than others. I tend to like the "single" flavors more. Key lime (was from DIYFlavorShack - Lorann's I think) was great, clean and easy to make strong. I liked the strawberry too.

I've started ordering (or mixing) at 20% VG and still don't have an issue with flavor loss. Haven't added water. I find most Lorann's flavors to be the best tasting and overall, very concentrated. The others (PA comes to mind) were weaker... but maybe it was just the different flavors. You are using the flavorings and not a pre-mix, right?

Oh well. You've probably figured it out by now, by experimentation if nothing else. Hope it works out for you!

vape it at 6V, I bet you'll get some vapor then! HAHA Just kidding! But most juices do put out more vapor at higher voltage. Are you vaping 5V,6V, or the normal 3.7V??

CV ;)
