I placed my first order with Capella's last week, and I did receive an order confirmation. When I didn't receive a shipping confirmation (after about 7 days), I logged in and it shows that my order status is "waiting on flavor". None of the items I ordered indicated that it was out of stock, so my question is, what does this status really mean, that they are out of at least one of the flavors that I ordered? Any type of idea how long this could possibly take? Just trying to get a general idea from experienced Capella shoppers.

is it vanilla custard perhaps ? I quit buying direct from capellas. not harm or disrespect intended buy i have literally waited 3 weeks for a order to arrive. I started buying the big bottles of caps vanilla custard from ecigexpress. and its cheaper ! I really like caps flavors alot . I emailed them 3 or 4 times and only got a reply once like 2 weeks later. if they were not so darn tasty I'd not order it but its the only one like it unless someone else knows of a better one.

Yes I did order Vanilla Custard, but I have no idea that is what is actually holding up the order as they have not let me know. If you go on the web site, it doesn't indicate that any of the flavors that I ordered aren't in stock. I think that they should at least tell you before you order that it's out of stock, tell you how long it will be and give you the option to proceed with your order or hold off or go somewhere else. Bummer that it's going to hold up my other flavors. :glare:

This was my first capella flavors, I got coconut, chocolate fudge brownie, sweet strawberry and the infamous vanilla custard. I couldn't even find a code to get a discount. LOL

Hey dude, frequent capella customer here. Sometimes they run low on certain stock (lots of times with VC) and it takes him a few days to replenish. They are a small and busy company but you will get your flavorings. The VC is worth the wait. The site will mention if they are waiting to replenish stock at the time of order but i don't think it will inform you after purchase. Only at the products webpage.

I agree they are very very very busy and for a reason, their flavors are really good. some i cant live without lol.not bashing them at all and recomend them all the time. i personally use different vendors so either way they get my money and im glad they do so they can keep making more ha. maybe i have missed it somewhere in the past and its very likely but i never have seen them say "out of stock" on anything ive ordered, or if lets say VC is very popular why not throw in there somewhere in the description this flavor is very popular may be 3-5 day waiting period. at least then your first order from them might not be so disappointing, when ordering online I like to see the fine print in bold letters. is it in stock, on back order, in production etc etc. I like to give the main vendor my business, for example the flavor apprentice. the flavors i get from them I buy from them. i know i can get a cheaper deal on wizard labs or whatever but I know without a doubt in my mind that when i order from them that if i order by usually 3 my time it goes out that day and hits my house exactly 3 days later.. every single time even during holidays. I will pay more for quality service any day of the week. and in my experience only I have not had a single order satisfy my customer service needs. will continue to use the brand tho as long as its around

Maybe I am missing it, but I don't see anything that indicates that they are out of stock on any of the flavors that I ordered. I get they are a small business, but it's a customer service thing. Doesn't mean that I wont use their flavorings, just may try a different route in the future. It would just be nice to know an ETA on my package, I mean if it's going to be three weeks then at least tell me so that I can order from another vendor, or better yet, tell me before I placed the order so that I as least can make an informed decision. :2c:

It's not really a customer service thing, because it doesn't appear you have attempted to contact customer service. There was a holiday on the 17th, it's only been maybe ~9 days since the order, less if you want to subtract for non business days. Call or email customer service.

I agree that they should make it easier to see if the flavoring is backordered, in stock, etc. on the page itself when ordering (more flamboyant text or something).

Unfortunately it just sounds like bad timing/luck. If you're concerned you really should contact them.

You say "more flamboyant text or something". That would imply that something actually says it's backordered or out of stock. It doesn't say that anywhere at all. Not on the page where you add to your cart, not on the check out page, not in my order confirmation, no where. That is the point, I was not notified prior to placing and paying for my order that anything was out of stock and that is part of customer service. As far as it only being 9 days and there being a holiday in there, well I placed 3 orders within 30 minutes from different vendors and I already have the other two and 1 that I placed several days later.

Let me remind you of something you said.

At the time they were out. They may have resupplied since, the status is gone and they are catching up on orders. You may not be first on the list, again just contact customer service.

To elaborate, by more flamboyant i meant it should be text that stands out more, so that people who don't care to look if the item is in stock and just add to cart can have a better chance of figuring it out. Most places wont allow u to add product that isn't in stock. I'm glad Capella's does, it's convenient for me.

Your assuming that the 7 days that I mentioned was the first time I checked the order status or tried to determine what was out of stock, but you are right that they need to make it more apparent to the shopper that the item is out of stock, supposing that I did miss it during the order process. I have since received my order and I am very pleased with it.
