Hey Dudes and Dudette's, Need to know more vendors to buy from, flavorings, sweeteners, etc.. What are most needs in the DIY collection, flavor wise? Seems to me Capellas and TFA are really popular. What are some others? Im a Noob Cake about to start DIY :) and need all the help I can get from you veterans out there. I don't want to completely be lost once my order comes in because im actually going to be putting lots and lots of time into this because me and the moms are going to start selling E-Liq and E-Cigs at our antique shop. Suggest anything please it will be much appreciated. vape ON people, by the way just started rebuilding my atty's, it's so much FUN!!

The fact that you're new to diy AND that you're going to be selling your home made e-juice in an established business raises a LOT of red flags to me. Maybe some of the veterans here could weigh in on this

I understand what you are saying, however, we all started as noobies at some time or another. Hopefully, the OP will not be selling the juices to the public until they become very knowledgeable. And practice...practice...practice.

@Rickb119 I would love to get to another forum and to find out these red flags, the only thing im concerned with right now is like the other guy said is practice practice practice, my order is going to be placed today and maybe some more throughout the week, as of right now, I got some help from a cool guy that works at a vendor here in my hometown, 6 or 7 recipes, my necessary equipment, a office which has been sterilized and thoroughly cleaned and a nice work desk with storing. Also im ordering my PG, VG, and Nic from wizard labs and another FDA approved vendor... like I said suggest anything, im here asking for help :)

Have you read Hoosier's blog? He writes about some things to put in your bag of tricks. Little things that can make a big difference. Hoosier is good, Hoosier is wise.

Depending on your volume, some of the suppliers have wholesale options. I know nothing of that in the vaping world but you might want to look into it. Good luck.

Rick,

I made up a recipe that is very versatile. I use Flavour Arts "Cookie", Flavors Apprentice "Bavarian Cream", 2 drops of sweetener for the base. To that, you can add virtually any 3rd flavor and it will taste wonderful! The cookie and cream flavorings make a pastry/danish type of flavor so any fruit, nut, vanilla, chocolate, spice tastes really good with it.

To 15 ml of juice, I add @ 8 drops of cookie, 6 drops of Bavarian Cream, 2 drops of sweetener and 6-12 drops of a 3rd flavor.

My favorite Caramel and Chocolate flavorings are from Vapor Renu. Their Caramel Candy and Double Dutch Chocolate are out of this world.

Sorry if I sounded rude or offensive in any way. That was not my intent. I'm a capitalist at heart and believe very strongly in vaping as a way to quit smoking. My main concern is that of safety, both for you and for your customers.

Have you ever worked in any kind of a laboratory? Have you ever work with or around any dangerous chemicals? High mg nicotine is a dangerous and potentially deadly chemical. If you're going to be using high strength nicotine do you have a chemical vent hood to mix it in? Do you have the equipment and supplies to test the strength of the nicotine, both before and after mixing?

I've worked on surgical and laboratory equipment for over 30 years. The number one issue in every (well, almost) lab I've worked in is safety. I used to decontaminate biological safety cabinets using paraformaldehyde (nasty stuff). ONE time I made a "minor" mistake and it could have killed me.

Your original post sounded to me like "WOW, this is fun! Let's make some money doing this". I'm all for having fun and making money at the same time. Who wouldn't like to do that. Please, just make sure that you know what you're doing, and do it safely.

If you haven't already done so, please read ALL of the sticky threads in this forum.

I'll get off of my soap box now.

TFA Acetyl Pyrazine (AP) is something I can't live without. It lends a dry, nutty back note when used at the right percentage. When heavy-handed, it'll make anything taste like Fritos. 1 to 2 drops per mL is my sweet spot.

TFA Brown Sugar Xtra is great as a sweetener in bakery and tobacco recipes. Just like real brown sugar, it sweetens and adds some molasses depth.

Like Glasseye said, read Hoosier's blogs and then read them again.

Best of luck. Keep us updated on your progress.
