I started out at 10% on the Capella's and vaped it for months @ that percentage and was satisfied. When I amped it up to 15%, then I could see what all the hoopla about Capella's was about.

Here is the Capella's thread I started back in 2010. You'll recognize some of the names of the Veterans like Spaky, GoodDog, MaxUT, Ast_Isis, Sanfordf, AttyPops, etc. It was a fun thread. I'm glad you started this new one Str8.

@ GoodDog - remember this one, lol?

I remember that thread even though i wasnt there. Iv read almost every thread since the beginning of the diy section. I didnt start this thread but it was because of me :) lol

Ok, I just put my capellas order in for the "5" flavor deal - wish I made the "6" bottle deal but oh well. I will use my flavors for more then vaping but I am starting all my mixes at 15%. Here is what I am starting with: Flavor 1: Vanilla Custard, Flavor 2: Sweet Strawberry, Flavor 3: Toasted Almond, Flavor 4: Snickerdoodle Type, Flavor 5: Caramel - Did I miss out on something I may add another order in a week after I get these. Dang that Strawberry sounds soooo good right now...I am so close to them I should have drove there and got them in person and saved the wait for USPS lol.

This may sound nasty but its awesome.I came up with it by accident when I dropped some juice in a carto that had something else in it.
Both of these are 10ml bottles. The first was 8% cap hazelnut and 4% fa cuban supreme and 3 drops of em.
The second is cap coconut 15% and cap vanilla custard 4%.My carto had the cuban supreme one in it.I thought I had
the coconut in it so I dropped some more of it in it,WOW was the taste crazy good.So I took half a bottle of each and
mixed them together in another 10ml bottle and its amazing.Something like a nutty, creamy tropical cigar is all I can say.

Think I will call it Cuban Paradise lol.

I posted this in the Capella's recipe thread as well.

So is the general rule 15% for all the flavors?

It really does vary with individual tastes. I wish it was as easy as a one size fits all, but it's not :(
I like most Capella flavors at 10%, but there are a couple I prefer at 5%, and a couple that 15% is just right.
And with FA (FlavorArt) I would start at 2%...maybe going up to 10% max on the ones I've tried.
With some other companies, like Fairies Finest or FW (Flavor West) I might go 15-20% because those tend to be weaker.

The only way to find what's best for you, as many have said is to start weak and sample, working your way up until you find your sweet spot...keeping in mind that most flavors will inevitably get stronger with age. So if you try something and it's almost right, it's a good idea to wait a day or so and try it again before adding more flavor :)

The strawberry is very strong I would start at 5% and work it up. In my mixes I like the fruity flavors a little lower like 5-10%.
