about "icedog"
That's like saying strawberry is vague ....it's French Vanilla.
French Vanilla is a buttery creamy vanilla, as opposed to 'bean' vanilla, which is a cleaner, sharper vanilla.
Haven't you ever had French Vanilla ice cream? It tastes waaaay different than regular vanilla (I'm a 'vanilla nut'...if I know anything it's vanilla...boring, but heh, I know what I like).
LOL There willl be a test later about the difference Leo!Careful with it though...too much (marshmallow) can not be a good thing ....
Don't mess with Patti's french vanilla LeoLOL There willl be a test later about the difference Leo!

No problem.
This got me curious though...
From Wikipedia:
The term French vanilla is often used to designate preparations that have a strong vanilla aroma, contain vanilla grains and may also contain eggs (especially egg yolks). The appellation originates from the French style of making vanilla ice cream with a custard base, using vanilla pods, cream, and egg yolks. (The egg yolks are essential to French vanilla ice cream, as they provide its signature pale yellow color; whereas ordinary vanilla ice cream contains no eggs and, thus, is white.)
I like vanilla bean ice cream much more than french, but I'll still probably pick up some of the FV from Capella's... I love using various vanillas in my recipes, and I love the Cap. Vanilla Cupcake (I've been using that one too much... almost out of it).
