Hey! I'm still relatively new to vaping, but ever since I got my KR, I've been utterly hooked. It's a really amazing little PV, and I love it to death.

But anyways, I've had a rather simple and maybe stupid question bothering me... Do I really need to keep my half-full cartomizers capped? I've been doing it out of habit and obsessive cleanliness, but I'm starting to think it might be a waste of time to hunt the cap/plug down every time I switch carts. I mean, they ship with the cap and plug, obviously, and they're sure useful when refilling... But still. Are they going to leak when just sitting in my drawer, or are they just capped as a shipping precaution?

Try not to laugh when answering this, but what are your thoughts? :)

From a novices point of view, I'd have to guess you have it right with your guess of "shipping precaution". I might cap a partially full carto if I kept it loose in my pocket, but sitting on its side in a drawer, I think you've got no worries.

I was also concerned about evaporation in the short term, but I read somewhere (sorry about the lack of source) that PG and VG evaporate about 1/4th slower than water, so for short term storage, your uncapped cartos won't dry up.

I always put them back on when the cartomizer is not yet ready to be refilled - but I really do it because I would lose them if I didn't! I think that keeping them in a little zip lock bag would probably do about as well for preventing evaporation and keeping them clean. And it would be a lot easier!

Sorry, a little ocd here. I cap and have a flow/plan as to which are empty, need refilling or just refilled.

If I was really OCD I would say CDO, afterall, that is alphabetical!

You aren't the only one.. :p

My flow:

Full = both caps in child proof medicine bottle
In Use = on battery, single cap
Empty = both caps, in pocket

I'm trying what to do with the empties, I want them back in the medicine bottle, but I need to fine a way to tell the difference between empty and full.
