Caravela Clone

I am not normally one to buy knockoffs but since I do not think that I will be getting my hands on a Caravela this looks like an okay alternative Preorder - Sigelei #8W Caravela Clone It is only 30 bucks and looks like it will be available in about a week. The top cap is a little large and I do not like the ego threading or the design on the top but it still looks like a solid buy. I have never owned a sigelei before so I am not sure on the overall quality. I could not find much information on this piece so any input would be appreciated. Thanks...

Only issue is a slightly wobbly switch which can apparently be fixed by buying a better spring from a local hardware store. However, the original spring and wobbly switch apparently allows for very easy firing. I won't be getting it, but thought you might like another option to look at.

Both look nice. Don't think you can go wrong for 30 bucks. I haven't paid over 45.00 for anything I have.

as mentioned earlier, please be sure that the Sigelei #8w has vent holes drilled into the body. from the looks of the pics, there dont appear to be any vent holes.. which can be a monstrous problem, that im sure youre aware of.

There are a couple of holes inside the bottom cap, which only extends the chamber a bit. It's probably not adequate for relieving pressure in the even of a battery failure. Some bottom button mods have holes inside the locking ring area. They should have done something like that. You'll definitely want to use IMRs, as always with mechs.

I got mine a few days ago, it's nice and heavy, looks like a clone, but it's pretty enough for a budget device. Anyway I don't the trigger works like a real caravella trigger. I put pliers on mine already and still can't get that trigger to come apart. I wanted to put in a lighter spring or at least heat the one that's in there. This trigger is not pinky friendly. It heavy and hard to push. And the chrome tube is slippery making a simple gesture like firing it a difficult maneuver. Now I say I have gotten at least a dozen turns on tha thumb screw and nothing is getting loose or taller. I'm afraid to put anymore turns on it for fear of shearing it off. If anyone has had the nerves to completely unscrew it will you let me know? No point in wreaking it right out of the box.
