Caravela look-alikes or other simple looking mods?

Even though I think it should be obvious what I'm talking about let me rephrase what I wrote. I was referring to those looking for mech mods. "The majority of those that are looking for a mechanical mod would prefer a flat top with a flush connector and "X" marks for airflow", or heck, why not make an airflow control like a GGTS, Chi-You, etc. (doubt it haha) Obviously people that vape cig-a-likes and don't know anything else about vaping don't care, but we're obviously talking about mech mods here, not cig-a-likes. Not trying to be rude, I'm just pointing it out.

I might say this too if I owned a Caravela. JK but not really!

its cool for about a week before you realize , its just a beautified battery holder.

i was almost as impressed, when i held a K100 for the first time to be honest.

still doesn't mean i would ever get rid of mine though

Why oh WHY can't anyone make a "clone" that looks like the Caravela??
-It doesn't have to be China- priced, just avaliable! I LOVE the looks of the caravela (Just like so many others) And I'd happily pay $200 for a mod with that look. But all other "similar" mods I've come across has the button on the side. Or is all SS. Or a Telescope..
I want a good performing mech mod with bottom button with brass locking ring, brass tubes and some kind of diecretely designed logo. How hard could it be??

If you want a cheap head turning mechanical mod my vote goes in for the Natural by Smoke Tek. Here is a photo I took of mine with my Odysseus/ Terminator on top of it.

I have the same setup as yours, wonderful ... only thing that bothered me was the Natural fire button. Almost killed me while changing the spring for the button .... but i prevailed ...

I really think we're finally getting close to a decent chinese Caravela/Chi-You esque mod. I've been saying it for a while now, they should be there soon and with that picture and also the roller clone they just made it looks like they're FINALLY getting it. I called Sigelei to be the ones. We want a frigging plain tube, bottom button and brass contacts. REALLY NOT THAT HARD!!

I been sending sigelei tons of chi and vela pics and nemesis pics, she said they will make something similar

Anyone know whether the current selling Naturals still come with hard-press fire-buttons?

Or have they addressed that since?

I got one on order, hope cutting down the spring won't be turning into a nightmare if the issue still exists.

Is the spring best changed or just cut down?

I believe it was EDO who said you can heat the spring over a stove burner and it becomes much easier to press.
