Next on *Insert news station here* E-Cig terrorists are trying to blow up planes
"Ban them all!!!" says 300 corrupt politicians and doctors

actually I wouldn't put it past them...

It is people caught using them on planes and setting off smoke detectors in lavatories on planes which will lead them to being banned...

I would hope they lean towards a requirement of removing batteries and storing them in a battery box. Instead of an all out ban.
Having to pick up new kit on the other side of a flight would be rough. I know the first thing I did as a smoker after a long flight was chain smoke at least two outside the terminal as soon as I landed wouldn't want to have to hunt down a vape shop after getting off a plane.

Lithium batteries under a certain size were allowed, even before vaping, so I don't see any issues. Those without removable batteries may have difficulty at some point..
I know first thing I do after a long haul flight upon exiting the arrivals hall is to fill a tank and have a vape...

apple is pretty good at damage control. check for laptops instead there are plenty.

Yes, but laptops are certified by UL and CE; e-cigs generally aren't, especially the counterfeits. They are also an easy target. Apple has the money to fight laptop prohibitions on planes...
