Cart aligned to Atty?

Does it matter how you put the cart on the atty on a 510? Does it have to "line up" with the atty? I don't notice any grooves on the cart, which makes me think that it does really matter how it goes on and I don't see anything in the instructions about it.

Any ideas?

I usually don't. I use whistle tips so I align them where it's most comfortable to press the switch on my battery.

If you look into the atty you will see a white oval shape at the bottom, same shape of the bottom of the cart. You need to line these up, or you might melt the plastic cart. I was getting really bad tasting vapor and notice all my carts were melted, this did the trick.

chc is right; Here, I'll make it easy to understand; here is the insulators at the bottom of the atomizer ( : ) and here is the bottom of the cartridge ( 0 ) and now watch this-- 0: -- push those together.

I had heard this same thing, but after inspecting the atomizer bridge orientation, it makes to more sense to me to do the opposite. Since the bridge is an arc, I think that the linger portion of the opening in the cart should be aligned with the bridge. Anyone else follow me here?

I thought the same thing until i realized i was melting the carts. I have not had any melt on me after switching.

I went to 901 whistle tip carts on the 510 and that melting problem is all but gone. So now I can align them however I want... which I do for the best access to the battery button.

Very seldom does mine line up. I've never had a cart melt. Guess I'm just lucky.

Yep, that's exactly what I do, unless I happen to receive an atty where the coil isn't completely centered...

I found that my carts only melted when I lined them up with the white ring. Now I line them up with the atomizer coil, and haven't seen any melting at all. So maybe it depends on personal use.

I never had an issue with my 510...I just stuck the cart in. That being said, since moving on to a high voltage mod, I HAVE to align the cart. There is slight melting of the ends of the cart when I have neglected to do so....not much, but there is some.
