First off I would like to thank one and all who posted the information that kicked off my finally freeing myself from the 510 connector prison. This was all by way of the RCA DIY POST so thanks to everyone in that post.
Now I make my own mods as most know. I also have managed to twist some coils and make my own atty repairs and homemade cartomizers from scratch as well. I kept tying myself down with these 510 connectors though, and I am no longer sure why. I mean, as someone pointed out to me in one of my posts. Since I made my own cartomizer and my own mod, I could use any kind of connector that I felt like since it was all of my own build and design anyways. (Well, kind of my own, I mean I got all my beginnings from all of those who went before me in the ECF of course).
So I have now decided that I will use RCA jacks for my connectors. This will give me many potential options and quick change abilities for my carto's. It also gave me some more ideas to put to use and to the test as well.
I would like to make an atomizer/cartomizer that never needs to be discarded again. Obviously all coils will eventually fail, so what I would like to attempt, since I can use an RCA connector, that means I can design my carto/atty's in any shape receptable I want. So I would like to try my hand at these concepts.
1) An atty/carto that has a easily snap-in snap-out coil replacement system (like a small ceramic cup an atty uses, with a coil that can be easily placed in and out of whatever device contains it). This will probably be the most intricate and difficult concept to attempt.
2) Make a mod that outputs a VERY high voltage, that pumps into a LARGE cartomizer that has a coil using the largest .awg of nichrome wire I can get, and multiple coils maybe. Basically, to make a MONSTER COIL. Why? Because I want to build a Multi-Person E-Hooka for Vapor Parties!
3) Make a HOMEBASE E-Cigarette. All E-cigarettes are made to be portable (with the exception of some pass-throughs I guess). Well I want to make an e-cigarette specifically designed to NOT go anyplace. I want to make an e-cigarette that is permanently attached by a wire to a base unit. The base unit would be made to have numerous great features of course. Completely customizable levels of everything. A completely true AUTO juice feeding system that would monitor flows and liquid levels, and eliminate a switch in place of some new type of air flow sensing auto switch (I know it has been done) and a really nice LED display showing all sorts of settings from what I may call the E-HQ. I have a bunch of ideas for features for something like the E-HQ.
These are just dreams and vapor right now. I don't if I will actually try any or all of these or when. Just ideas I want to throw out there for thoughts.
Any other thoughts or ideas come to mind for changes that could be made with an e-cig that can be designed into any shape or form without being restricted by any connector requirements or Voltage or Resistance or Current restrictions. Anything could be done with an e-cig where we have no set rules we have to follow for design purposes, right? Well, not that we were really all that tied down before, but just realizing that I am not beholden to ANY other connection type, carto, battery or atty of any kind just feels like it opens doors that I didn't know were closed before. LOL

PS. My new forums are dead in the water guys. These are NOT E-Cigarette forums. I love the ECF. I even e-mailed the ECF guys to tell them about my forums and ask for permission to put my forums into my signature so I didn't step on any toes. I have NO desire to detract from the ECF at all. I certainly have no intention of not coming to the ECF. These are DO IT FROM SCRATCH forums for everything from home beer brewing to artists making their own paints to home auto body working and yes there is an electronics section and there may be brief e-cigarette mentions, but the first post in that electronics sub-board that says e-cigarettes (ROFL) It says that e-cig people should come HERE to ECF if they want REAL e-cigarette informatioon! LOL So if you are a big DO IT FROM SCRATCH guy like me, please come to my forums. I only have 4 members and I am going to lose the forum before I ever get started otherwise.
