I am SOOOO confused! I'm about to order a kGo kit and I'm unsure about which carto to go with. I have a V2 and an Elite 808 so this feels like a big step-up for me. The problem is the cartos... I'll go with the Boge, but SR? LR?? 2.0ohm or 3.0ohm? I've read where you shouldn't use LR on a 510 batt but then a lot of people use 1.7ohm? Throat hit is important and I don't want anything that might damage the battery. I know this has been asked (probly a million times!) but I just can't figure it out! And yeah, I know I need an adapter so all my 808 cartos won't go to waste.. HELP!!!

Its only slim ecigs , like the v2 and elite 808, that can only use standard resistance cartos. Bigger battery PVs, like the kGo, can use LR or SR cartos.

If you get Boges, I would get the LR 2.0ohm cartos. The 2.0ohm ones will provide a warmer vape and more TH compared to the 3.0ohm ones. The Boges do work well, but their only downside is that they only hold about 1ml of juice.

Another option is to get some Smoktech 1.7ohm XL cartos (also called the Ressurector by CCV).
I recommend getting the Ressurector cartos bc I think youll really like them. I use an E-Power, which is similar to the kGo and is 3.7V like the kGo, and the Ressurector cartos are the only cartos I use. They are designed for 3.7V PVs, like the E-Power and kGo, and they work awesome on both. The Ressurectors are 1.7ohm so they will give a nice warm vape with really nice TH, and they produce a LOT of vapor. They are single coil, but many people feel they produce vapor similar to a dual coil. They also hold about 2ml of juice, which is about twice as much as the Boges, so they last a pretty long time between refills.
Hoosier sells them and calls them the SMoktech 1.7ohm XL cartos, or you can get them from CCV and they call them the Ressurectors, but their the same cartos regardless of what the name is.
I buy all of mine from CCV bc they have free shipping which is nice when you just want cartos, and their prices are good. Also if you get a 15-pack you get a free drip tip. Dont forget to put in "ecf5off" to get 5% off the order. With the discount you can get 15 Ressurectors for under $21 shipped.
And you could always use a tank later to make them last even longer. The Smoktech 3.5ml tank is perfect for the E-Power and kGo bc it works great and isnt overly big. I use the 3.5ml tanks on my E-Power and love it. They are dual coil tanks, but I think dual coil cartos suck at lower voltages, so I use the Ressurectors in the tank instead and their a LOT better.
CCV and Hoosier both sell pre-punched Ressurectors too for the Smoktech tanks and they have the metal base on them like the carto that comes with the tank

Hi mynameisrob! Thanks! Actually, I've read TONS of your posts, and because of you I've been trying to decide between the kgo and the epower. I've decided on the kGo,, and I'll definitely take your advice about the cartos. It's just that I've seen other people say to be careful with the lower ohm cartos on the kGo but if you say it's ok,, that's what I'll do! And you've saved me a ton of shopping around too.. this carto shopping is kinda like shoe shopping.. believe me, it ain't pretty! I found a pretty red kGo that I'm going to order tomorrow (as long as I don't lose my a** at the casino tonight:toast:) Thanks again,, you're a knowledgable guy!!

You do need to be careful. But as a general rule....if you feel you battery getting warm.....stop. Boge 2.0 are good on a kgo. Sometimes it won't fire a 1.7ohm. Not sure why, maybe some kind of circuit protection. It comes and goes. I have no problem other than that with ST 1.7ohms. But I like a more flavorful vape vs a hot vape so I don't chain vape on 1.7ohms.

Similar to what you have, a boge 2.5v on the kgo that comes off the charger at 4.2v. Only slightly warmer. The 2.0s are really good and never any firing issues. I use them in the ST 3.5ml tanks too to get more usage out of them. Sometimes they are finicky with wicking and you do need to shave down the 3.5ml tanks a little.

I get them at madvapes. Get their shorty 510 to 808 adapter. Sometimes adapters change the draw and resistance a little. This one seems to have little to no impact.
