Hi,
Sorry if this has come up in the past..or if im using the wrong terminology.
I currently have boge LR cartomizers, I think they are poly filled (they are full of something). I was wondering if you get better or different taste with wick cartos or even gravity fed cartos? Can anyone please break down what the difference is?

I am leaning toward buying a clear gravity carto as this seems like the cleanest way to vape and you can see how much you have left.

Congratulations on quitting!

Without knowing what PV you're working with, I would suggest giving the Vivi Nova a try. They are extremely easy to fill and clean and you can replace the heads pretty cheap or even rebuild them if you are so inclined.

Taste and vapour production are extremely good as well, definitely better than a carto. For +/- $12, you can't go wrong.

CarTOmizers= steel tube with polyfill. The most dependable and easiest vape once you get filling down. A good, hassle-free way to learn.

CleaROmizers= clear plastic tubes with wicks and coils and different names and types: Stardust, Kanger, Ce2 (wicks), CE3 (coils) are fun but the easiest way to lose tons of cash with poor QC vendor crap. One box is great, the next broken or flawed and that's $12 non-refundable dollars in your trash can. All the time...

I second the above. Get set with solid cartomizers and try out the vivi nova 2.5 or the vivi mini. Search for them on youtube to see videos and here on ECF. Best, LEAK PROOF, non cartomizer out there. Will save you a fortune. Gotvapes has cool collars for them too... An ego twist+chrome collar+vivi mini=looks super cool.

Welcome , and I have to throw in , with the other posters on this one . Vivi_Nova's , regular or the new mini , are probably your best bet . They are real easy to fill , you can see how much juice , you have left , come with three heads , with different ohm ratings , and they are real easy to re wick / coil . Great for an intro into doing your re-building of atty's , on the cheap . Good Luck .

There, fixed it for you. Loved Cartos and hopefully will again if Boge, SmokTech ever get back to making a reliable product again like they used to.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I was having good luck with cartos until last night, I tried 2 boges in a row that tasted really burnt (i had filled both using the condom method). That concerned me as I assume im inhaling some nasty chemicals as the fill burns. So is the consensus that Viva_nova's are the way to go? I looking them up now as I type. Is their no option for a no wick/no fill carto or tank?

BTW I apologies for not mentioning it earlier, I picked up the Kgo kit from Dark City.

Try all.

You're not going to know which you prefer until you try them. Doesn't matter what the reviews say. I've tried them all and this is just my personal preference I like cartos better than clearos. Not that they're better, it's just my preference. Could depend on e-liquid, the way you vape, who knows.

For me, #1 drip, #2 cartos, #3 other.

I use cartos and high end rebuildable set ups. Carto filling can be a pain at times. Iv tried the condom method, top fill and let soak in,syringe with needle and then the myfreedomesmokes luger to 510 syringe adaptor. Out of all I use the adaptor to fill now as most cartos take 1-1.5ml in the fill. With the adaptor and syringe I fill with about 1.5ml of juice and it bottom feeds the juice in and you can speed it up by working with suction from the syringe.

I just ordered 5 boxes of Boge 3.0 ohm cartos in SS that were advertised as New Stock and billed as the output after Boge and Smoktech had worked out their QC issues. The first one was good for a few minutes and then went hot on me. I ran the resistance check on my Provari and got 1.6 ohms, verified by an ohm meter after the fact.

I ditched that one and filled the next. It worked fine, but I noticed that the fill, after 30 minutes of soaking in the long condom, didn't last long before I started getting dry hits. I've noticed this "first effect" on a few others out of that box. I'm on the last on of the 5 now and it's working fine. The problem is that I usually get 3 to 5 days from one carto. I've gotten less than 10 days out of the whole box so far and much of that hasn't been the Boge quality vape I'm used to.

I plan to email the vendor to see if they can work something out with Boge to replace these with some verified good stock.

Boge cartomizers, when they are right, beat anything else I've ever used as long as I get them saturated on the first fill using the condom method. Two of these didn't respond to a syringe touchup after the condom fill.
