Ok so i have a DC MAP tank that i am using on my v3.1 at 6volts, The first day the Map Tank worked great and the carto was fine, The vapor is alittle hot and throat a bit much but still was good. The cartos are at 1.5 ohms. So last night i filled the tank, this morning i go to hit it and its flooded, gurgling bad and hot juice is just hitting my mouth. Not a good combo.

I noticed this before aswell on the second time i filled the tank, i filled my tank and the carto is so saturated that is just gurgles

Any one else experience this... i have went back to my HV i06's for now

Also to add, i noticed juice will leak out the bottom of the carto from time... i guess because there is so much juice getting into the carto is starts to leak out of the bottom. the Leak is not from the MAP tank but coming from the very bottom of the carto

If it worked ok to begin with maybe the voltage damaged the filler so that more juice gets in. I bought a liquinator and havn't had ANY luck with flooding. I thought it was damaged cartos (slotted) that was letting too much juice in causing gurgling, leaking and spitting hot juice into my mouth. I'd blow it out and it would be ok for a bit then flood again. Cut, and punched a few cartos, got new ones from the vendor same thing. I'm about to give up, good luck.

The wicking in the cartos is not fail-safe. Too big of a hole, you get elakage like you describe. Damage the inner tube that houses the coils and same thing happens. Too small of a hole and your liquid won't wick.

At this point, I'd say try another punched carto. I made a how-to for a carto-punching jig. Alot of people seem to go for slotting the cartos with a Dremel, tho. Either way works, but I punch mine to prevent metal shavings and burning the filler which can cause leaking, once again.

Is your liquid s00per thin, maybe? I use thinned VG, mostly. My cartos are double-punched. Sometimes I get a flooder, but usually they hold up til flavor dissipates. If you look inside the mouthpiece end, is the filler touching the walls of the tube? I got a couple that weren't "fluffy" wall-to-wall and the gurgle was almost immediate. I don't really have a solution for this occurence. Sorry.

menaice,

I got this advice from another thread and I wanted to pass it along.

Take a spare carto condom, cut the bottom off. Now you have the perfect size sleeve to partially cover the holes.
You should be able to make fine adjustments.

Maybe someday, they'll have vertical slots instead of holes and you can really fine tune the opening using a condom sleeve :)
