I've been running a carto tank setup for about a year now. My local B&M stores carry the Smok brand cartos. I've noticed that when I try a new juice at the store it will taste one way, and when I load it up in my carto tank it will taste different. Like some of the flavors are being muted. I recently purchased a Nautilus tank setup and the flavors have returned to what I remembered in the store. However, I seem to eat through the 1.8 ohm atomizers like crazy to get the vape I like. Aside from going with a rebuildable, is there any tank setup that would allow me to run the voltage at 4.0 to 4.5- which is where I usually run my carto tanks to get the warm thick vapor I like?

I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you but will suggest a reconsideration of rebuildables at least in the future. I have used a Penelope v1 for well over a year and still use it. Then I bought my first kayfun and will say there's a reason they compare everything else to it. As long as you follow safety precautions along with the use of a multi-meter, they are easy to build and maintain, providing hassle free vaping. With reference to going thru atties on the Nautilus, I change out the cotton wick on a kayfun about every 4 days which only takes 5 minutes at a cost of next to nothing. It's so much cheaper than buying ready made coils.

At over 11W you running close to the power limit for cartos. Wicking may be the issue. Are you using pre-punched cartos? If so, consider unpunched cartos and punch them to provide more contact area (more holes) for better wicking. The thickness of the juice is controlled mostly by the PV/VG ratio and that can affect carto performance. Thicker juices require more punching.

I use 95/5 VG/H2O juice in Smok single coil cartos but I rarely exceed 7.0 watts.

Hi

What kind of battery device are you using and what resistance cartos?

ETA: Sorry if my question sounds confused, I read your post as 1.8Ω heads on the Nautilus. Is that correct?
