Carto Mod

Nothing new here, just for those that have not seen it yet, here is a link to some great Cartomizer mods. I just tried out the double capacity on Ben's new and improved carto's and I gotta say, WOW This thing is great. My suggestion is do not fill until it comes out of the top hole that he made in the video, I got about 3 mouthfuls of liquit in my mouth, but I am persistent, and after that it works great, plus its adding a mouthpiece so the carto doesnt get hot on your lips.

Hey! good to see someone tried it,(the double capacity breather mod?) and yeah if you fill it right up to the breather it can get in your mouth, but that little bit of tooth pick I shoved in near the air chamber opening really did wonders. (and keeping finger over the mouthpiece the whole time too, not like in the vid )

I only push one full cap of juice in now and never get liquid-mouth.

I was surprised I never get juice leak out of the breather hole, and dont really notice it there.

I meant to show cutting the bottom of the 901 cart better too, if you shove it in the carto without cutting a bit off the bottom it is too long and the plastic is near the atomizer.

Yea I kept my finger over the mouthpiece. No biggy, my mouth hurts a little now from all the juice, but it will go away. I will have to go get some toothpicks tomorrow.

I didnt have any problems cutting the 901 cart, I just looked at your video, and could tell looking at my carto that it wouldnt fit without cutting. I cut it to about 2 or 3 mm (didnt measure just a guess) past where the breather whole thats built into the cart is. so its very short, but its a tight fit so no problems there.. I also cut the polyfill down a bit. I have been vaping on it quite consistently for about 10 hours now, and its still going strong.

I just pulled out the polyfill to give it a look, and it looks like theres alot of fluid in the bottom, but toward where it goes into the carto its getting dry, common problem with poly from what i've seen, so I might look at using some of the scotch bright pads I used for a mod before as filler or something else so that I can run the cart dry will let you know.

cool man, I just use the standard polly and haven't noticed wicking problems, I thought the breather hole stopped the vacuum/suction probs, but I guess it could be different for different folk, liquids, and other variables.
You said you cut the poly down a bit, do you think stretching it back out to the original length would help, so it would be thinner?
It could just be the poly itself I guess, it does seem to like holding the liquid.

I tried one with not much poly in the end (ala. Highpings simple mod) and it seems to work great. (better than on a standard cart, as you dont have to pull the cart off to refill.) Might be worth a shot.
I used about 1/3 - 1/2 of the polly just enough to create a plug and joiner to the carto. (I guess liquid could leak out of the breather this way if left laying down.)

10 hrs! thats excellent man, I get about 30 mins - 1 hour out of a regular carto and about 1.5 - 2 hours out of these.... I think I need to slow down abit. Did you notice my nico-shakes in the vids?

holy crap! 2.5 to 2 hours of use? I mean Im not a continuous vaper, but today I was hitting it pretty hard, or so I thought. I use 24mg, and I hit it till I could feel the shakes, backed off, and hit again. I just had to refill, only because of the wicking problem. So thats around 11 hours, pretty darn good I think. So on a regular day it should last me all day, and I will take an extra carto with me just in case, but should last me when I go to the bar. We shall see.

I wish there were more mods for cartos, I suppose I should start scheming, but I cant think of too much that needs to be improved, especially on this new one from VaporNine. I guess the next step is, get rid of the 901 tip, drill a small hole in the side of the carto careful not to damage filler, and make one of those autodrip mods with a bottle attached to the side. But that would only really look good on a box mod or something with a tube running to the side of the carto... HMMMM

Cant think of anything else yet, but I will!
