I use an Ego 650 maH,as a moderate vaper it lasts me nearly all day. Dual Coil Cartos use twice the power of regular single coil cartos. I'm investing in a pack of 5 x ce3 clearomisers (aka phoenix) and they suppose to vape almost s well as the dual coils, they don't use filler so are easy to clean, reuse and put different flavored juices into. Can't wait till they arrive and try them out.

You can not use those on mini batteries, they will fry a small battery.

If you are insistent on using those cartos, do not get anything smaller than an 1100mah battery, they will eat up battery life too quickly. Anything smaller than a 650mah battery will get fried.

My suggestion is get a new battery and get rid of those. Use a bottom coil ce3 instead.

If you want a mini battery, go with smokeless image. SI will be carrying ce3s in the day or so.

Many vapers here report running a 1.5ohm dual coil on a KGo. In addition to a 1100 mAh battery the SLB KGo uses a Li-Po battery, which has a higher C rating than either ICR or IMR batteries. Higher C rating means a larger drain rate.

I tried 1.5 ohm dual coil on my regulated 3.7V E-Power 14650 (1050mAh). It fired the DCC allright, but the vapor was much too cool for my liking. For regulated 3.7V the best hitting cartos are single coil LR, like 1.7 and 2.0 ohm. They will hit much harder than the 1.5 ohm dual coil and batteries will last much longer.

For less then regulated 3.7V: standard resistance single coil.
For regulated 3.7V (IMR and ICR battery larger than 650mAh): low resistance single coil
For DCC: Better have 4.2V and a 1000mAh or larger battery.

Dual coils require twice the amount of power that single coils do to warm each coil to a given temperature.

Please do not use dual coils on ANY device without a compelling reason to do so.

Using a single coil will allow you to use higher voltage (assuming you have a variable voltage device) which will reduce the amp draw and extend battery life. If you use dual coils because you just think that two must be better than one, I'd encourage you to run some numbers and re-think that.

(Volts x volts / resistance = watts)

(Watts / volts = amps)

Lower amp draw = better battery life.

Great deals on Boge single-coil cartomizers:

Boge Mix n Match (5 Boxes) .92 each!

Great choice for a battery:

I also like the Apollo SS VTube, the ProVari V2, and the less-proven but very cool Smoktech VMax.

I did see that desert vapes had some batts for a real good price. I'll take a look and see what i can swing. Thanks for the input.

Yeah I was going to suggest that actually. Give Dave a call on the phone and see what he says. He's a great guy to deal with. Seriously, give him a call before you hunt and peck.

supergerbil, i'm replacing the factory 510-T automatic batts. The both crapped out on me yesterday.

Ahhh, gotcha.

Yeah desert vapes has a good price on the 510s, $11.00 for a manual I believe.

Like other folks have been saying Id recommend dumping the dual coils if you are going to stick to a small 3.7 batt. You can get yourself a box of boge single coil cartos for less than $6, a good investment IMHO.

Well, as a carto user for a year I have some Phoenix Bottom Coils on my desk ready to try. You may want to go PBC or PTC or vivi/ vivi mini soon. I regret wasting my time with cartos with so many of the great reviews of the vivi/PBC. I'll let you know how I like it... But at some point you'll probably get tired of wasting juice on polyfill and wish you had checked out other options sooner like I did. Just a tought... Vivi mini coming out soon...

I hear ya man, I have a couple of the Vivi Nova tanks and some Kanger HCs, and they are awesome, but those come with a higher price tag compared to the good old Boges on sale. Ya know? Mostly, the tanks are for home use if you ask me. Too bulky to lug around. Now the Vivi mini sounds interesting though, but wouldn't that basically be like the stardust?

Aha, found a recent video from LordDavon on the mini. Looks pretty interesting for out and about. Vision Vivi Nova 2ML Mini Tank Review - YouTube

1.5 dc on my kgo wouldnt fire good for me. The safety feature shut my kgo 1100 slb battery down. Only tried it once.

3.7v x 3.7v / 1.5 ohms = 9.12 watts (4.56 watts per coil)

9.12 watts / 3.7v = 2.466 amps

With a single coil 3.0 ohm carto/atty:

3.7v x 3.7v / 3 ohms = 4.56 watts (same 4.56 watts per [1] coil)

4.56 watts / 3.7 volts = 1.23 amps

For a "warmer" vape:

3.7v x 3.7v / 2 ohms = 6.85 watts at the single coil

6.85 watts / 3.7 volts = 1.85 amps. Warmer vape than with the 1.5ohm dual coil, much lower amp draw.
