I'm a huge Ce2 fan. In fact, I haven't used a carto in 4 or 5 months now. So when i was shopping on Canvape I noticed a Smoktech LR dual coil carto tank and I thought to myself "Wow I remember that LR single coil carto I got from a friend. That was a tasty experience." so I grabbed one. It ships along with a couple other things Monday and today I come home from work to a package on my kitchen counter. I plug in the new battery, and fill the tank with my favorite juice, prime the carto, plug it in to my trusty ego, take a toot..... *piff* a tiny little puff of vapor comes out. I tried burning it a little, I tried leaving it a little, nothing. Could it be a bad carto? Am I doing something wrong? I was pretty sure a 1100mah ego could handle a dual coil LR cartomizer. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe I'm just unlucky. I think I'm just unlucky but I wouldn't mind some verification on that so I don't feel like I've gone crazy.

The carto should be giving you a crackling sound, if its just giving u a tiny amount of vapor maybe one of the coils poped or its just a bad carto and yes 1100mah batteries should be able to handle dual coils. Best if u test the batt with a carto or atomizer you know that works thou just to make sure.

Remembering from when I used to use an Ego battery. The 3.4 V appears to be the minimum threshold to get the DC going and they don't perform too well at all compared to 4.5V, even at 3.7V they appear to be weak, especially compared to a CE2 (and I am not a CE2 fan). Also there seems to be a large variance in the resistance of individual cartos and some will have high enough resistance that they hardly do anything at all on a low V battery, it appears you probably have one of those. But if you are used to CE2 you will never be happy with a DC on an Ego battery, would be better to try a 1.5 or 1.7 ohm single coil if you want to get a satisfying vape with a carto tank on an ego battery.

It could be the tiny hole in the Smoktech punched carto. You could try making the hole a bit bigger with a nail or punching another one right by the existing one(I punch a second hole myself). If you're using vg heavy juice you could also try thinning it a bit with distilled water. To test take the carto out of the tank and try vaping it(put your finger on the hole). The battery should work fine with the dc cartos

These should work really well. I have 2 already and one more on the way. HUGE vapor. I found I had to slot the carto's though to avoid the dreaded burnt carto flavor. Aside from that they are awesome. May have a bad carto, but check the resistance with an ohm meter to be sure. Another option is fill the carto (drip) as well as the tank and see how she performs.

Yeah--try filling the carto itself while in the tank(not sure why I suggested taking it out of the tank in my previous post!)--if it doesn't work it's probably a bad carto or maybe you got a 2.5 ohm one by mistake instead of a lr.If you're going to try making another hole(using a dremel is out of my league)the saddle punch tool from most any hardware store works well for me.
