Tried using Tank/Carto setup but I am not excited about this setup. I will give it another try but I am having wicking problems and I like a higher VG juice but I have used 70pg/30vg and 50/50 with the same wicking issues. I tried Ikenvape 2 hole cartos and smoktek 2 hole cartos.

I bought some standard boge 3.0ohm carto's to try on their own and they should be here on Friday.

Currently I am using ibtanked 19mm xl tank/carto setup. I am also using an CE4 V2 Clearomizer with Ego Adapter.

Not a happy camper right now. Might try kanger t3 but I will need an adapter for that as well.
Clearomizers are very nice, no mess but the flavor is not nearly as good but I have not tried the T3 yet.

How do I wick the carto in the tank when it starts to hit dry?

Just drip juice? I drip like 6 drops in the top and then it floods out the bottom of the carto. I clean the bottom where it is leaking and then after about 15 puffs it is dry again.
Feels like it is not really wicking, just dropping through
do I have to do a condom fill again? I shouldnt have to if there is juice in the tank right?

My Boge cartos will get here soon so I fear going back to dripping constantly. I remember .. add some drops and quickly put it on the device and vape.. then find the juice leak later when you take it off.. Or drip drops and then always have a napkin or tissue to get the leaking juice, blow, then vape..
This would not be a big deal if I could easily drip while driving but halfway through my drive the quality will go down. Maybe it is worth crashing to get a quality vape throughout my drive home!

Very annoyed now.

BTW: Yes I know IBTanked has the Thingy but I lost it

I was going to recommend using the Thingy. (It actualy does work.)

It appears that you have been using the condom method of prepping the carto. I never cared for that method. I use the method in the video below, dripping into the top of the carto while occassionally spinning the carto around to saturate the polyfill evenly. I also plug the center air hole with a wooden toothpick to keep out unwanted juice from getting in there. I fill until the polyfill looks and stays moist like a slushy drink.

My method of vaping on a cartotank may be different from what you use. I take slow, deliberate puffs for about 5 seconds in length. This allows for the liquid and air pressure in the tank time to equal out. Hard and short pulls can cause flooding. If you are getting some dry hits, you can do a couple of primer puffs by inhaling without power.

I'm using the same cartos as you are. Using the same IBTanks (Now up to seven and counting) Most of my liquids are either a 50/50 ratio or all vg. (Virgin Vapors and Vaperite Eliquids)

Magikhat, if I understand correctly you are using Ikenvape 2 hole cartos and smoktek 2 hole cartos in your tank and getting burnt hits. I use Boge 2 and 3 ohm carts in Mom and Pop sub tanks. I punch my own holes with a carto punch like this one.

I also had trouble getting my tanks to work well for me at first. In the end I discovered that with my carto and tank combination the number of carto holes and their size was the trick. I generally vape 50/50 pg/vg juices and with them have success with two holes made with a given number of turns of the screw in the hole punch. The more turns I make, the bigger the holes become. In this way I can make the cartos dry hit, work well or flood consistently. It took a few tries at first, but now I have the juices I use dialed in and it's become easy. Now, there are more variables involved here, like my tanks use grommets not O-rings in metal end pieces and they have a small filling screw in the main outer sleeve which yours don't.

Having said that, I believe if you are getting dry hits the issue is you are not getting enough juice wicking into the carto to keep up with the coil. Any way you get your cart filled with enough juice to make the first dozen or so drags good should allow the carto/tank system to come into play to keep the process working well. My cartos sometimes sloppy-gurgle a bit when I first start a new one and I have to blow it out to remove some juice. That is my indication that I filled it slightly over-full. If I don't get that, I drag hard a few times without firing the coil to pull more juice into the carto. Don't give up hope, these things are absolutely great when they work right!

Yeah, I've had this as well. If it starts out ok and then gets dry, turn the voltage down or punch more holes or a bigger hole. It is fixable.

Obviously the different cartos have different filling at different densities. Sometimes I can get gorilla juice to feed through one little hole and act just fine. A different carto and it won't feed through two much larger holes.

When dripping in the top, don't get any down the center tube or it will flood. That hole has to be clear.

I've had a bunch of bad cartos so I know the irritation.

You will definitely have to experiment with the number and size of holes that will work
with your juice. I personally use the Smoktech single coil cartos with 3 holes, but I use
a metal pick to slightly enlarge two of the holes and I use 70/30 pg/vg juice.

If you get the wicking going well enough not to flood, then you may still have to do
a couple of "dry pulls" periodically as the juice level in the tank drops.

Remember, the tank is under a slight vacuum lock, that is what keeps the juice from just
draining out through the holes in the carto. As the juice level drops the vacuum becomes
stronger, and the "dry pull" helps over come that. A proper dry pull will cause some bubbles
to come out of the holes in the carto. After a couple dry pulls you should notice a slight
"moistness" to the pull and may even get some of the flavor, that means you should be
good to go. Too many dry pulls and you will flood the carto.

If you don't flood the carto even after 3 or 4 hard pulls, you need to adjust the holes more.
