What kind of cartomizer are you using? ohm, coil amount, brand. Leaking usually means the tank isn't pressurized which usually is from a bad o-ring. Gurgling is from the cartomizer flooding due to the tank not being sealed, or your sucking too hard when the juice isn't being heated fast enough. Flavors being muted might be from the vapor barely being produced. Is the cartomizer fully saturated?

do you have any pics?....if ur vamo reads 2.9 then yeah its deff a 3.0 ohm coil,if its leaking out of the carto...id take it off the device, clean all the juice out of the threads, get yourself a paper towel...and gently blow threw the thread side of the carto ...it sounds flooded plum out,get as much of it out of the inside of the carto, and let it set for about 5 minutes....put the tip on and take a pull off the unit light pull if it gurgles bad its still flooded if its a slight gurgle, put it on and put some volts to it,it will line out and unflood i hope for you....I had these issues for a while, you will work threw them as well.....it can be a pain a first but fight threw it my friend

Hi, GimmieMore,

Did you put any e-liquid in the cartomizer before you put it in the tank?

If so, were you careful to not get the liquid in the tiny tube that is in the center of the cotton looking material of the carto?

Did you put the cartomizer all the way into the bottom of the tank and fill the tank before putting the top cap on?
___

By the way, the little white plastic doughnut thing is worthless, you can ditch that.

I swear, Baditude is hands down the Batman of carto tanks. I say this resentfully (;-)) because I am a rapacious Batman fanatic. I wanna be Batman! LOL.

But whenever there's a poor vaper in distress, we can always rely on Baditude to swoop in and set things straight.

Baditude, you are one. bad. dude. Here, here. I'm proud you're on my contact and friends list.

The flavors from it are muted.
It gurgles.
It leaks from the bottom.
It get barely any vapor.

All of the above suggest that you inadvertently flooded your carto. What this means is that there is too much e-liquid in the cartomizer, and can be caused from several things that you might have done incorrectly.

I'll let you watch the video and then let you tell us what you did differently. Other new tank users can then learn what went wrong.

Did you put any e-liquid in the cartomizer before you put it in the tank? Yes, but perhaps not enough after watching that vid.

If so, were you careful to not get the liquid in the tiny tube that is in the center of the cotton looking material of the carto? Tried to, I got a bit of back splash on my first couple hits though... So perhaps not very well

Did you put the cartomizer all the way into the bottom of the tank and fill the tank before putting the top cap on?Yep, and I see now how that could have caused some of my problems.

By the way, the little white plastic doughnut thing is worthless, you can ditch that. Lol... That was supposed to be plugging the end of the cart? It was just free floating in the package.

Excellent observations! :headbang:

For future reference, I have a blog that you can find in the link under my avatar that has that video and a written step-by-step method to use to fill the carto and tank.

Something that I do is to put a wood toothpick into that air hole tube in the carto to avoid getting any juice in there (Getting juice in that tube can cause some flooding issues).

When filling the tank, you only want to put the cartomizer half way into the completely assembled tank (both caps on the tube), which allows room to fill it through the hole in the top cap. (Again, take care to not get more juice into the carto at this stage.) Then after filling the tank 80% full, you can push the cartomizer the rest of the way into the tank. Put the drip tip on.

Filling the tank with the cap off, like you did on your first attempt, causes too much pressure in the tank when you put the top cap on with a full tank of juice, resulting in too much juice going into the cartomizer, making it flood.

Doesn't really explain the mute flavor of my juice... I guess I will chalk that up to a need for steeping...
Actually, there was probably so much liquid in the cartomizer from the flooding that the atomizers didn't get a chance to vaporize any of it, they were just overwhelmed. Kind of like trying to light a match under water. So, no vapor or flavor.

You'll likely need to start over with another cartomizer. That first one is probably too far flooded to save.

I'd be willing to bet the next tank setup will be much improved now after having a little more knowledge and experience.
